🎉❤love this video, thanks for the transparency and the information delivered. I’m from Costa Rica and right now I’m waiting for my phone call interview.
Hi Holly! This is first piece of content I am watching and I am impressed by the vast amount of information! I am currently in the process of interviewing for SDE position at Amazon and this will help me prepare. I feel that information which you shared in this vide will allow me to make a more conscious decision, given I pass the interview process and get to the decision point =)
We need more support like this!!! I want to be like him when I grow up 😆 🤣... I love supporting people who deserve it! It's great to see a supporting leader. I also want everyone to succeed that is really why we are all here right? There's enough room for all of us. Problem is not alot of people want to support they only hate...very disappointing 😕
Hi Holly, Thanks for the amazing work you do. I have a phone screen for a Snr Programme Manager role at Amazon in few days. I have over a decade of experience in the not for profit, private and public sector. The problem is that I stated my public sector banding in the CV. I'm based in Europe. How do I mitigate this? Thanks
Hi Holly, your videos are great. I've been watching them! I have a question that's not related to salary. A recruiter reached out to me through email but we haven't scheduled anything yet. I don't feel like I'm prepared for an interview yet (I want to brush up on my coding). Is it reasonable to ask the recruiter to push the interview back? Will that leave a bad impression like I'm trying to stall or study up?
Happy Holidays, Tiger! You should always push back and let your recruiter know that you want to do well and would like to spend more time preparing for this amazing opportunity. I ask 100% of my clients to reschedule!
Thank you for informing so useful information. I am waiting for the result of my final interview at AWS. I have a question! I'm currently an account manager, so receive money only for account manager (few amount per day as a name of car maintanance and it's not included in the paycheck). In this case can I add this amount when I inform my current anual income to AWS and reflect it when negotiating salary even though the position that I've applied is marketing?
@@HollyLeeCoaching That makes sense. Let me watch the video. By the way, I got a phone call from a recruiter that I passed the loop interview, which I got informed to be the final interview. But he said that there's one more interview that I have to go through to finally pass. The intervewer is the global Head of the team. How can I accept this situation? is it just for fomality? or to get more interview score to increase my level? or will there be possibility to fail even though I passed the loop interview?
What area are you referring to? Have you seen my salary negotiation video part one as it walks you through how to research? Let me know if you have questions about your research. This video discussion is not referring to just silicon valley as I am based in WA and John is in Denver.
@@HollyLeeCoaching I am referring to jobs where Software Engineers don’t earn 6 figures out of college which is basically any place not Cali or NYC…. that would be of more interest to a wider audience. Hearing how FAANG workers earn $500k a year is not the norm. So please discuss salaries in IT in areas that are not in Silicon Valley.
Hi Holly, I have my loop interview this Friday. I've been practicing nonstop and I feel great about it, plus the hiring manager that I met with in the last round really connected with me! I'm interviewing for an L5 non-technical Program Manager position. I have 10+ years of direct experience in the position I'm interviewing for. The recruiter mentioned that since this was a brand new position, their range was $130-150k total comp although I told her my total comp expectation is $175-215k. She said there would be room for me to negotiate each component during the screening. What is a reasonable total comp to shoot for in your opinion? I thought I was right on in my expectation, but after hearing this conversation, I'm realizing that it may be too low. Any advice is much appreciated!
I wouldn't work for any employers where I can't negotiate at all. When employers do this, how would they be able to sustain their workforce as people will leave over worked and underpaid.
Tbo…. $448k for a product manager is over paying…. this is not common and is probably reflective of the job location…. i doubt this Product Owner salary is reflective nationwide.
