I wasn't on the throttle all the time, often just letting the boat glide along. Also .. I moved the prop so it threw a HUGE Rooster tail. This makes it easier for me to see at far distances and the camera can see it too. By no means is this the "fastest" this boat will do. If tuned & dialled in.. Im sure I could have squeezed 15kph more out of it. But - for having fun on a 30c day, there's no better place to be other than at a lake splashing away!

No comparison!!! With 6s not only can you see the difference via speed and one gnarly rooster tail but that motor just screams! So sick medic! ⚓

Have a Spartan myself. I highly recommend getting an aftermarket aluminum water jacket for the motor. Got one for 20 bucks from offshoreelectrics. Was the first and best upgrade I made. You'll get better cooling and won't take on water like you do w/ the stock sleeve...

Yes ,I can see the different !!I have a Slash ,Traxxas Slash 2WD and it has changed from original motor to brushless and speedcontrol sametime..After that it is possible to drive with 3S-LiPo-batteries,,,You can see my videoclips looking jukkiz67 and Slash...

I would love to get this boat. I tried on Saturday when I was getting my traxxas summit monster truck. After watching many videos including yours I made up my mind to fork over the cash and buy one. Hobby store wouldn't give discount if buying both, so in do time I will get that boat. But also have to see where I'm aloud to drive it at since all around me is state parks. Raleigh, NC.
Bad luck Shaun. You should have been given a discount buying two. Is there another place you can spend your money? If there is another store, you could have told them that you are going to shop around. They dont like losing a sale, walking away might have got you that deal. Better luck next time friend. Hi Medic! My names is Zach and I have recently purchased a Traxxas Spartan from an individual used. When I run it on 6s I have an issue with it porpoising really bad 3/4 to full throttle. What should I do to make it stop? Big fan of your videos by the way!
adjust the trim tabs on the rear of the boat :) That will help you :) Also, check your battery placement
how much speed will you get to with a 6s / how long of run time do you get with a 6s

The blur because it can go higher than 4s

It's just around 12.6 volts per 3s Lipo battery
At the max
3S batteries are 11.1V. Lipo batteries are 3.7V per cell, so just multiply the cell count by 3.7 to get total voltage.
3 x 3.7v = 11.1v
4 x 3.7v = 14.8v
6 x 3.7v = 22.2v
What is the run time for the spartan with 6s lipo's stock? i was thinking about saving up for it from traxxas's website and im just curious how long it would run with those batteries, thanks :)
If your on full power the hole time running it, it should be able to go for about 15-20 minutes, if your going at various speeds it should probably last 30 mins

What does 4s and 6s mean?
4S is four lithium polymer battery cells. Each cell is 3.7 volts.
Four cells times 3.7 is 14.8 volts.
Six cells is 22.2 volts. More volts mean a higher top speed.
I know the question was asked five years ago. I am just now wanting to get into RC electric boats and need to learn all I can too.
