You’ve done an absolutely wonderful version of “Hey Brother”! Bluegrass and electronic music have always spoken to my soul. Imagine my surprise ten years ago when the two collided for the original version and now we’re blessed with the other side of the coin.
Dan, I first discovered you watching yourself and Ron Block sing 'Man of constant sorrow' at the 2004 crossroad festival (on DVD only sadly!) - My Dad and I were immediately blown away by your unique voice and guitar playing. Hey Brother came out when I was at university and while EDM wasn't my thing, I immediately recognised your voice and felt so at peace in the knowledge that so many new people would discover your music from that point onwards. Thank you for enriching so many lives with your music
This was such a great discovery for me,I love to sing a long with Oh Brother where art Tthou,Then I found this ,much harder to do,the harmony is great, the sound is beautiful, I do it everyday,Tim sounds better with me singing along,A BIG LOL, Let me know when you come to louisville Ky.
I’m starting to write songs and I really want to record them but I don’t know how does anyone have any ideas on recording equipment that would sound decent?
You can tell Tim wrote a bluegrass song and made it edm, which is such a great way to write. Start writing a song in one genre and finish it in another and see what happens.
I can remember listening to Dan with Alison Krauss & Union Station! Excited to hear from you again!
I hear them everyday on Bluegrass Junction Sirius/XM radio.
Dan has been my hero for many years. Such an awesome and amazingly talented guy.

So excited to meet the new band and ecstatic to hear about the new record! Please come to the UK soon 🤞
Beautiful words about Tim at the end there ❤
Your biggest fan here from Iran❤️
Best wishes for all of you. Can't wait for a new album, so make it work, time is running ❤❤❤
Loved this version!!! (Was kind of expecting there to be a “In memory of Tim Bergling~Avicii” at the end of the video though 🫣)
I love the music
Loved the work, please please keep on making great music, the world needs this kind of music, you are perfect❤️❤️❤️
EDM or bluegrass, I love this song in both versions. Very kind words about Avicii. Sending best regards from Poland ☺
Wow! They didn't even meet anytime. amazing

Great band!😊
Loved the Avicii version. However, as a lifelong bluegrass/AKUS/Dan T fan… I love this version even more!
I was at that show in Alaska and remember telling us to shut up. Great show:)

Love we finally got a full bluegrass version but I wish they didn’t speed up the tempo
It is awesome to hear the whole story behind this song. You and Aloe Blacc should do a song together
Omg yes! Aloe's voice would fit right into bluegrass.
What happens when you have two couples in a band if they fight? See Fleetwood Mac.
I’m starting to write songs and I really want to record them but I don’t know how does anyone have any ideas on recording equipment that would sound decent?
Do the other band members talk? 🤪😁
I’m a banjo player my self
I love the bluegrass version of this song better than dance music

So I guess Union Station is officially dead? I really had hoped for another album and tour with Alison and the gang.
Dan's band is better if it's bluegrass your after his band is bluegrass in your face
Well thankfully we get some more AKUS in 2025 ... I'm stoked about it ... But Dan's band is amazing and they have grown on me...
@@robonbass6864 Go on, I hadn't heard. If that's true and they tour I'll be looking to go.
@@paulw.woodring7304 they are making a new album and will tour on it in 2025... I'll be catching a show myself... Always wanted to see them
