Having all of these modern songs in the classical versions is another reason I love the Bridgerton series. It's revived my love of listening to music, but this way, I can still concentrate in my old age, without words getting in the way. Well, mostly. In my youth, I could do homework, dance, sing, clean my room, write and tons of other teen stuff...all while listening to 70's & 80's tunes with gusto. lol. Have started playing this in my classroom during independent work time. It seems to have a calming effect on my eighth graders unlike regular classical channels. They love hearing the variations on songs they recognize!
I did this too with my classes and it was a HUGE success. I think a couple of my students who were also in Orchestra became inspired as one later performed a pop song for me on her violin.
