This is one of the most awesome shagging videos I’ve ever seen! And I’ve watched a lot! The fact that you’re actually on the sand is next level! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼
Just the perfect plot! Boundless ocean and beautiful dance! It's not easy to dance on the sand. How do you do it so easily? ;-) Amazing) You create an extraordinary mood) Thanks! With best wishes))
@@NickWeaver I often review your masterpiece) Great mood!) Thanks! Can you tell me the name of the song? And where is this heavenly place to dance? Thanks!
I WATCHED THE MOVIE 🎥 SHAG LONG TIME AGO IN GOING TO SEE IF BEST HAS IT I WUD LOVE TO SEE IT AGAIN AS SOON AS I HEARD THE MUSIC I KNEW IT WAS FROM THE MOVIE SHAG LOVED IT THEN AND I LOVED NOW ❤ IM ROBIN FROM MENOMONIE WISCONSIN
Thank you for your comment, however this is the Carolina Shag. Carolina Shag is the state dance of South Carolina. The state bill was introduced in 1984 by representative "Bubber" Snow, and signed by governor Dick Riley. The General Assembly by Act No. 329, 1984, designated the Shag as the official dance of the State.
This is such a sweet, wholesome video. What a lovely young lady and handsome young man. I probably sound ancient but I’m only 55. I miss the feeling I get watching this kind of dance. Thankfully I can get my fill on UA-cam. Keep on dancing! 💃 🕺
This is lovely dance until the videographer breaks the Fred Astaire rule. Dancing is about the ENTIRE body, not feet or hips. Closeups are disruptive of the flow of the body. I got halfway through the video but stopped to write this message and then close the connection.
@@JoeHarkinsHimself Well I was speaking of Shag specifically, in the words of the people I learned from. I would say it's not "all" about the feet in Shag, but mostly. I was lucky to have Sam West as my teacher. He is the winningest Shag champion of all time and taught me almost everything I know about dancing. Check him out on UA-cam! I know you will enjoy his dancing.
@@NickWeaver Haters will hate; enter Joe. Great video. I enjoyed it for what it was. The General would be proud that his music is still being heard today, and being put to such an entertaining display.
Give'em a break Joe. Remember the Pavillion at Atlantic Beach, NC IN '65. 'Be young be foolish butbe happy' as Joe Pope sang with the Tams. This was a fun video to watch. Enjoyed your channel.
Making the Shag look effortless in the sand is no small trick. Beautiful video.

Wonderful video. I got misty.
Thanks!
I love the bell bottoms.
They are super cool
He's got his dip in his back pocket lol
We danced The Shag in New Jersey too .... so I don't think it can be claimed as a S.C. product. It was on American Bandstand and it went nationwide.

It's definitely a dance from the South.
Bravo bravo

Snagging to Carolina Beach Music is definately a "Southern" USA phenomenon..... with a great Myrtle Beach history.
Barefoot in the sand you guys make it look easy
Hard to beat a dance by the ocean
Ну и где тут шэг? Они бы ещё по колено в воду влезли...😂
What step do you mean? Please explain haha

Thanks for the input but Shag is all about the footwork.
@@NickWeaver If dancing is "all about the feet," why do you think these videos even bothers with bodies?
