Well, so literally this car is as fast 0-200 as Passat or Superb with 2.0 tsi 272hp. So nice.
Maciek O Yes but they dont weigh much for such big cars (very impressive actually) and DSG=launch control, that helps things further.
S6 is an over two-tonne heavy diesel so the performance is actually what you’d expect with that power to weight ratio.

In winter, when it’s super cold, the smoke will come from under the car and not the (fake) exhaust tips. That’s quite embarassing.

Last week i drove the A6 50TDI the Top Speed was 265kmh then it was limited. I think the S6 could easily drive 290kmh if it was not limited

I reached 270 going from Frankfurt airport to Mannheim with a 50tdi but got smashed by a brand new Leon cupra which was easily around 290

Thex But many cars (German made ones) have a limit of 155mph. Yes, I know you can pay to have many of these limiters removed, but it was partially introduced to reduce emissions.

GHOST I understand Audi is going for a diesel, but we atleast should have the option for a petrol one, best of both worlds.
90 % of people complaining about the car, couldn´t afford it anyway, but keep dreaming of an RS6. Tried the RS6 for four days and I was disappointed. The RS doesn´t deliver enough to justify the cost. The AMG E63 is the real deal and even the AMG C63 performs better and is much more fun than the RS6. I´ve ordered the S6 anyway.

I have the same engine in my 2013 A6 C7 Avant. 3.0 BITDI but 313ps this one is 350ps. Not much in the real world but they didn’t call mine S6 for some reason?
Its not the same engine. This has one large compressor assisted with an e-compressor to improve spool and response. Yours is a biturbo. The block in this new S6 has been revised as well as cooling system.
The only cool thing on this car is the ZF 8 Speed gearbox.

Omg that's so slow, i do the same time till 200km/h with exactly the same gears shifting with my A4 (B8.5) TDI remaped with 200 HP 410 Nm. 1st gear : +-45 km/h... 2: +-80km/h... 3: +- 120km/h... 4:+- 150km/h... 5 : +-180km/h... and 6 : +-220 km/h. This S6 is very slow.

Perfect daily driver. We have one. But i understand the hate about the „s“ . Should be more a6 competition. If it would have 400hp+ it will be an s. But 350 is to low. However its a realy nice daily car with always enough power

I hate to be a killjoy, but why don't they just close the book on all of this? Im 21 years old, I've had 1 car in my life and I wanted to experience all this fun of the lambo V10's in Audi RS models etc, but if they can't do that anymore because of emissions and they can't put real exhausts on a car because of cost savings, why not just end the line? Make a final S6 with the 3.0litre 6cyl petrol engine we all love and say, "sorry folks, thats the end, its been fun". Instead they're just damaging the brand, the heritage and the pedigree of the company all for the sake of a few quid? Not worth it in the long run when people switch to loving BMW's because of their more authentic and forward thinking way of doing things.
Audi is quickly becoming a VW. A cheaper, not as good alternative to Merc and BMW.
It makes me sad that the car I currently drive is indeed an Audi and thats saying something because I absolutely love it.

While I actually totally get the idea to put an Diesel into the S6, this one just lacks power to back the name. Basically that‘s just the old Competition Diesel put into the new model shape. Would have needed at least 400hp to be really giving you slight „S“-feels...

100-200 in about 15seconds is a bit slugish, but this is what you get with 350hp on 2020kg
