- Today, I describe how exactly I got my 2008-2010 Front End Conversion done to my 2002 7.3 Powerstroke. Now the swap has been done for about a year already, but I never physically showed my viewers how I did it until this video. So that said, enjoy the video and hope it is a helpful guide to installing this front clip with no purchased kits or brackets, but as a 100% Do It Yourself project. Should help for the swap on your 99-07 Superdutys!

Love the 2008 to 2010 front end look. . HATE the crappie 6.4 engine that was under the hood. You have the best of both worlds!

@@Jimmyziggy 6 liter, good engine after you spend $9.000 dollars on bullet proofing / 6.4 lost cause / first Gen 6.7 liter had turbo issues and you have to pull off the cab to R &R the turbo / current Gen 6.7 is really strong and very reliable BUT if have issues, still it's off with the cab. I have friends that own 7.3 trucks and they run as good today as they did when they were new. . Now THAT'S BULLETPROOF. By the way, I also really, really like that 2010 dash in your truck, that looks super nice.

My 08 looks better than the 2010. Or i guess, the later model. 🤷🏾 i have a 115k mi 6.4 in hoping will still last me. He's been a reliable truck.......

Hey did you use the 08 hood latches were it pivots and bolts to the cab? Or did you use your old ones
How do you wire up the headlights to work? Is there someone that makes a wire harness adaptor from the original plug in?

I got the bumper brackets off the 6.4 I got my bumper and brush guard from I’m thinking if you cut off the old 99-04 bumper bracket then notch the square frame the 2 inches you need you could bolt on the 6.4 bumper bracket onto the 99-04 frame I checked with my old tow hooks and the holes in the 6.4 bracket does line up with the holes on the 99-04 frame drilling a hole and bolting the bumper with no bracket did work for me but when I put the brush guard on it’s pretty flimsy so I’m driving to figure out a more sturdy way to do it I don’t think the mcnasty bumper bracket would help to sturdy it any either

@@Jimmyziggy i just picked up a 99 f450 black snatch truck . looking to do an 08-10 conversion . so i will need hood fenders front bumper . hood latch wiper assembly . seen some parts trucks in my area i was thinking 1000$ for all those parts mabe 1500$ tops

Hey man, I'm doing the swap with no mcnasty kit. Doing washer spacers like you did. Is there a template I can print out somewhere for cutting where the headlights go? How did u know where to cut it?
Great question, for that part i used the mcnasty video and just eyed up where he cut and then got it close and then tested if my light fit in there. If it needed more i trimmed a little more until it was perfect

I imagine you sold the clip you have in the basement has been sold if not let me know. We are about to do the same thing. I noticed you dont have the hood pistons. Do you have a way to get them installed?
Yea i sold it. I didnt do hood pistons but at some point i want to fit the 08-10 ones in there
Notice you didn’t add the hood strut. Have you added it and what did you use?
I still never have. I plan to use the 08 one when i get to it haha. Have manually lifted it for these past two years so it’s a habit haha
I have a 200f ford f450 and i still dont know what problems this engines have it has now 250 thousand miles and runs perfect. 6.4
I did the same front end on my 06 f350 dually. When i release the hood lever in the truck, the hood does not pop. I have to have another person pull up on the hood as i hold the lever. The hood bar is latching on the latch straight also. Without the hood locking it, it releasing sounding hard and fast. Just with the weight of the hood, it is not strong enough to pop up.

Have you adjusted your hood stops? I had to screw my hood stops all the way out

angelsanchezmkiv i believe it is 1”. and i removed the header panel and did trim the metal behind for it to fit
Hey bud, where are you located? I have an 02 as well and I’m looking for a front clip. I wasn’t planning on going newer than 07 but if you’re close I’d be interested in the burgundy clip.

Do i need the bumper brackets?
If you want to get them it’s a plus. It’s possible to get one bolt on each side through but 4 bolts is definitely better with the bracket kit

Randy Farewell Personally i don’t think the 6.7 looks good on a single cab. I like the 6.4 looks better for them

I did the doors and bed cause i made the truck black but those are not necessary to swap out
When are you painting it?
Reqn I’m not sure yet, i might eventually wrap it but not sure on that either. it’s not one of my main focuses at least for now!

Reqn I think like 500 dollars or something close to that i was able to get some of it off a parts truck and other stuff on ebay or facebook marketplace

The 2010 250 front is extremely ugly, should have gone with the 2-13-16 front!
