@@paullasky6865 This is a long comment and seems to be unrelated to the series but it’s to make my point. I recently watched an anime where the villain is a representation of nihilism, the philosophical question that if we live in a world full of death and pain and there is no objective purpose then what’s stopping us from killing ourselves, it relates this question to the state of infancy, kids lack empathy and purpose in life, they are true nihilists that if it wasn’t for the adults would end up in a path of self destruction, eventually when kids face death they understand the true concept of love, it’s to understand that all beings will eventually die and that we’re all afraid of it, this fear makes us bond to each other a to cherish life and allow to empathize more. It’s when we understand death that we understand love and through love is how we endure. I think that in leftovers they were all looking for meaning in their lives, through social cults, violence or religion but at the end Nora and Kevin find it through love again.
I really don't believe that people didn't watch this series, otherwise it wouldn't have survived the 1st season. Of course this isn't the biggest mainstream success because its just not very mainstream. Matt represents someone dealing with Absurdity by becoming faithful, whereas (VAGUE SPOILER: Nora accepts death, as she has been trying to since the start of the story when she's introduced)
