This performance recording heard on Sunday Radio night in the early 80s was my first access to Maestro Mendelssohn 's compositions.
I was very new to Western Classical music and this composition for me was a magical journey in the violin concertos category. An excellent composition and and outstanding playing by Mr. Christian Ferras with ably supported by Mr. Silvestri.
I pay my humble tributes to the memory of Jakob Ludwig Felix Mendelssohn- Bartholdy on occasion of his 175th death anniversary today. One of the giants of the Romantic period. Thanks for the upload
