  • Street style tasty beef skewers is what we are cooking.
    What's up guys! I'm back with another video for you, this time it's all about cooking the ultimate "street food" - beef skewers using fresh ingredients.
    I'll show you how to make these super easy beef sticks of happiness! Plus, Weber BBQ skewers are like the Swiss army knife of grilling. They make cooking street food super easy, as they are so versatile.
    As with all of my recipes, I take you through the selection and trim, seasoning, BBQ set up and times and temps. All you need to do is sit back, grab a drink and enjoy.

    Ingredients:
    1.2kg (2.6lbs) Skirt Steak
    1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
    1/3 cup soy sauce
    1 teaspoon of fish sauce
    1/4 cup honey
    4 cloves garlic, crushed
    1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
    1 tablespoon of crushed ginger
    1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
    1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
    Items Used:
    Weber GA
    Chimney Starter
    100mm riser from rub and grub rubandgrub.com....
    Feeds: 6
    Preparation Time: 2 hours
    Cook Time: 15 minutes
    Cuisine: Australian

    Ol mate said... If you can't marinate the meat for 2 hour just marinate it for a couple of hours 🤔😆😅👌🏾👌🏾

    Love all your skewers videos. Can i ask is there a way i can do them on my master touch kettle as i don't have a GA or riser?

      Thanks Arthur Stock, 100% mate just grill them directly on the cooking grate over some lit fuel mate, just may have to tun them a little quicker than every minute or so as the meat will be closer tot hr fuel siurce 🍻

      Hi @justspokenpoetry5641, I am a bit confused as I never mention putting these in a freezer. I'll assume you meant the fridge, I would leave them longer than 24 hours in the marinade while in the fridge, cheers.

    Do you need the oil for the marinade ?

      You could get away with using it as a dry brine / marinade. If you do try it, I'd love to know how you went. I'm guessing you cannot have oil? grapsta 🍻

      it's beef so it wouldn't need to be completely cooked unless you are looking for beef jerky on a stick

    Bro it was delicious but a bit too spicy…. I read 1/4 CUP of cayen pepper instead of 1/4 teaspoon… i made the same mistake with the normal pepper😂
