@oliazadehali The first/main moving shot is on a Glidecam, kinda like a steadicam, but everyone else is just hand held. Its all about holding your breath ;)
I sub to this cause the idea of just playing in any back alley is AWESOME. Can't have all that stupid vocal equipment and it reminds me of the street artist that are amazing but will die poor and unknown.
The whole production is outstanding. I would love this creative style of media to take over the profit driven industry that reaches the vast majority of the population. I'm sure more than one would share the same idea. Media like this triggers the audience to go beyond the obvious, and reach the artistic side of the production. It's just lovely. Mark my words, I'll do something to make that happen. Cheers to the team, I would love to work with you guys at some point.
I walked into a foreign town A land long left behind I sat beside an acacia tree And a fountain of red wine A blind old man with a bible in his hand Struggling through the sand A poor boy dressed in rags in tow He leads him by the hand And I left the wolves behind that night I left them where they fell I slay them one by one that night Beneath the old cathedral bell I sang, “la da da, la da da… The old man took me by the hand And he led me to the well I said, “I am not a killer or a thief But there are other pathways to Hell” He said, “Worry not about what has passed And live without regret Think only of the moment now You can sleep friend, when you‟re dead” And I left the wolves behind that night I left them where they fell I slay them one by one that night Beneath the old cathedral bell I sang, “la da da, la da da…
I'm fron the States, so it took my friend Cam to introduce me to The Tiger and Me. I haven't thought about it in a while, but I'm gonna send him a fruit basket.
@carl1964carl Nah, all solid state stuff. A combination of 2 x Zoom H4n and 1 x Marantz 661. Lots of radio lapel mics on the vocalist and the quieter instruments. Plus a stereo mic and a shotgun. The movement caused some phasing problems in the mix, but our audio guys did a fantastic job as usual.
This is one of my favorites of SideshowAlley and I think the best version of "I left the Wolves Behind.."
the guy with the black acoustic guitar is my guitar teacher!!!!!

Absolutely LOVE this! It's like PIRATE music!!! :D I saw it on art nation yesterday and I now have a new addiction. xo

I walked into a foreign town
A land long left behind
I sat beside an acacia tree
And a fountain of red wine
A blind old man with a bible in his hand
Struggling through the sand
A poor boy dressed in rags in tow
He leads him by the hand
And I left the wolves behind that night
I left them where they fell
I slay them one by one that night
Beneath the old cathedral bell
I sang, “la da da, la da da…
The old man took me by the hand
And he led me to the well
I said, “I am not a killer or a thief
But there are other pathways to Hell”
He said, “Worry not about what has passed
And live without regret
Think only of the moment now
You can sleep friend, when you‟re dead”
And I left the wolves behind that night
I left them where they fell
I slay them one by one that night
Beneath the old cathedral bell
I sang, “la da da, la da da…
loved hearing dogs barking in the background there, was kinda expecting a random 'shut the f**k up!' been yelled out, nice work on the video
this is so very good.
Love the alley idea, and Im finding some awesome artists from you guys :] Love this song!
@SideshowAlleyTV Thanks. I'll try holding my breath new time =)
I'm fron the States, so it took my friend Cam to introduce me to The Tiger and Me. I haven't thought about it in a while, but I'm gonna send him a fruit basket.
Is that the girl from The Nymphs? Brilliant

How did they get time off from their chimney sweep jobs?

This excites me! Fucking love it! Would have been amazing to be a part of.
Brilliant! That lead singer with the top hat is pretty sexy too (I bet he's a Bomber supporter). Love Charlie J
wowwww!
This isn't as polished and perfect as some of the other Sideshow Alley videos but it has a raw energy that's just bloody well magical.
What ? Such a stable video and no stabilizers used ? Only holding the tripod ?
@Ashworth20 You can buy The Tiger and Me album "From A Liar To A Thief" from iTunes.
style vs. substance = divide by zero error
Makes me think of Moulin Rouge for some reason :)
Love it!
Great talent! Top hat -3 only puzzled about the crowd at the end... Were they paid or just randomly walking about? Fun though!
Did I see see some members of 'The Nymphs' in the crowd??
lady with violin, MARRY ME?
Love it all, just wondering what you use to record audio, was it Mini disc by chance?
Can someone post the lyrics ?
what a FANTASTIC fucking noise!
There is a house in New Orleans , they call the rising sun etc
+8-ball ????
Yeah.. but this song has its own identity.. Both are great songs
Love the video, but a lacquered Uke? It seems somehow wrong.
And I left the wolves behind that night
I left them where they fell
I slay them one by one that night
Beneath the old cathedral bell!
