Nah Nintendo need to actually compete and make he graphics and tech worthy it’s 2023 and I have a switch
No the shouldn’t pc players have all th3 good games out there so shut your face
Watching this on my 1080p screen truly oozes the spectacle of 8k
8k on 8k monitor looks as good as 1080p on 1080p monitor.
@@js100serch don’t think you understood the comment
@@js100serch That's 100% wrong and is entirely based on screen/display size, 1080p on a 1080p 40" 1080p monitor looks like foggy garbage, but 8k on 40" monitor looks amazing.
PS the guy who's comment you're answering, was trying to say that (in a joking manner) he can't see 8k very well when he's hardware bottlenecked by a 1080p monitor (can set the resolution size but won't actually be 8k native)
@@js100serch so you're saying 8k looks like 8k and 1080p looks like 1080p.
@@qweqwe1324 Have you played Luigi's Mansion 3 on a 40" 1080p display?. It looks crisp. I recently played Elden Ring at 4k on a 55" TV and it looks equally crisp. But I guess this is a very dumb discussion, it is all subjective. 🤣
To really enhance the visuals, without altering the feel of them, is a great feat.
if only skyrim modders could do the same
@@quezmiz736 thats literally impossible, skyrim looks like a potato game tryin to look realistic
How? all characters and npcs have a clay look lmfao theres no materials this is such a slap in the face to artists and to designers. LINKS FACE, SHIELD, ARMOR, HAIR. ALL have the same shading in this video its terrible just keep the cell shaded look and tweak it like i do. Plus this "realistic" shading is literally part of cell shading turned off this base layer of shading is done for the final cell shaded product to refer too its incomplete its so funny lol.
@@repingers9777 Yeah, it's so weird that they didn't alter the visuals to your specific preference. I mean, you'd think they would've reached out to you first, before doing any work.
@@sydhamelin1265 oh shut up 🤣 he ticked a box I'm not hating on the creator or video I just find it wild people think this is genuinely a better art style or better than just making the OG art style look better
I don't think I'd ever stop playing this game if it looked like this. So mesmerizing.
Seeing this game looking so crisp and without all the stutters just reminds me of how anemic the switch is... Nintendo needs to pull a playstation and release their games for PC.
@@justinpatterson5291 They wouldn't ever do that lol
@@justinpatterson5291 nintendo as a brand would die if that happened
@@justinpatterson5291bro that pc costs over 3000 dollars, the switch is a tablet a 200 dollar one, the fact that you are comparing the 2 is funny.
@@justinpatterson5291 Exactly! I don't get why Nintendon't wanna produce a game worthy of the same quality as Santa Monica/From Software studios. Seems they're running a tight ship hence the lower graphical cartoony quality in their games. I found a better graphical upgrade in Metroid Prime from the GC and that was run by Retro...
Love what you did with the music!
The marble like ground on Zora's domain is so amazing... Never noticed it to be like glass/marble like this
Lol that's because it's pixelated af on Switch
its ray tracing tech
Ray tracing
just think if Twilight Princess was remade into this.
You never noticed that? That's very weird considering that's one of the most prominent details that jumped out at me when I got to Zora's domain in BoTW/ToTK. Alwayd admired how pretty it looked
Nintendo should really start releasing their games on PC, just like Playstation....Only PC can preserve gems like these for generations to come, PC should be seen as the natural home for all gaming instead of a competition
Totally agree 👍
Unfortunately Nintendo only cares about overcharging their games on their ecosystem
@@teresmajor7956 Nintendo is the only ones that cares about their Ip's...
They would definitely make alot of money
@@ScooterPoot they make more money by having it on their system, as you need to buy both the system and the game...
Even the music got HD treatment lol. Even with Graphics like these it manages to get Botw to modern graphics.
I really didn't like the shaders that first popped up when BotW modding started, but now that time has passed and things have been refined, this looks pretty good.
Came for the visuals stayed for the music

YES. I actually rewatched and played it on the side. Haha.
Same here 😅
Hahaha +1
The legend of zelda music always reminds me of ocarina of time ❤
Just insane to see the potential the game has. Unbelievable.
potential to look like any anime game yes. Thats what this video proves : graphic enhancements are not enhancements if you're changing rendering techniques or even deleting them.
@@terencecaron2922 i mean cell shading was used to create the art style sure but it was also there to limit the toll on the hardware is was designed for. i'm not a fan of the look without it but it's cool that you can change the way the game looks to your liking.
Potential we'll see realized by Nintendo no more than 30 years from now.

Love the little vocal she adds to the music at 3:24, literally with perfect suspenseful timing when I was waiting to see if there was gonna be another navi vocal right there
The most impressive about this is the fact that it's not 10 fps in the forest.
It's so incredibly beautiful ! It gives me Twilight Princess vibes while still looking like Botw
Would love to play it like this one day, great upgrade!
Looks great. only offputting is shimmer really far away, but that may just be truly a limitation of poly counts at that enhanced draw distance.

Funny, this is even worse than the original game. Seriously, what are people really complaining about in BotW to begin with? It's a beautiful game. The Switch is still fantastic.
@@DanielMazahreh copium
@@DanielMazahreh nice try
I love how Korok Forest really makes the Master Sword scene look like the one from A Link to the Past and A Link Between Worlds.
Might have a few things close but getting the Master sword in BOTW and LTTP are hardly alike. Actually I preferred LLTP Master sword area. Somehow it felt a little intense and all those forest critters near the sword was such a cute little detail.
@@someoneout-there2165 It's not close and I agree with that. But it IS the closest between any other games. The lighting pattern is also remarkably similar between the three games.
All in all, the ALTTP version is the best.
This game is already so beautiful you just can’t see what it’s hiding, I think it would look much better if you lowered the resolution to 4k and tripled the render distance for pop-in.
I always like to make sure it's night time when I first arrive at Zora's domain in my play-throughs because it looks way more beautiful at night.
the music makes this so much better
Esta a otro nivel es como si empezarás una nueva historia todo se aprecia mucho mejor ❤woooouu
Through circumstances I cannot play these types of games but watching this upscaled so much I am totally in a different world…
Amazing work, looks very good 💚
Watching it at 8K/60 on a 4K 17.5" laptop monitor and I noticed the difference in sharpness/definition in 8K over 4K. But I think the slight blurriness at 4K is most likely due to UA-cam compression. You can see artifacts everywhere when you closely examine one frame. Anyway, good stuff nonetheless! Thanks for the visual treat!
The original graphics has an special thing on it, is just how it looks, the original atmosphere of botw world is just magical.
Don’t blame me, the RTX version looks fantastic but you can see more easily the graphics textures with it.
Please stop with this BS
Well the only reason you cant seem them on the switch cause of the hardware💀💀
Original looks like crap
@@ElRealista.Haters gonna hate
That's because he also modified the colors, you can get the same feeling also with ray Tracing. The main goal here is that shadows are way more precise, so everything is more defined.
I can't describe the words how beautiful it looks
I’m still so into this game the amount of craftsmanship put into this game even to see on handheld Nintendo future proofed the switch cause in my opinion it still doesn’t feel cheap hopefully they release a successful successor

visual totally amazing!!! listening to the tunes at 1.5x time gives them a cool upbeat remix to something totally brilliant!!
great vid, what are the settings you use within cemu itself? (is running all those graphics settings at max worth it? (like shaodws; render distances etc (the ones saying not recommended next to them))
Bro...the music is as beautiful as the game!
Honestly this music is so nostalgic it really makes me want to play. Haven't played since Nintendo64 over 20 years ago!
Looks very good at times. It's a shame that the pop-in, particularly flowers and plants within foliage is so glaringly obvious and very short distance. A couple of other things like the glare from the blue light sources (not sure if it's shrines or guardians as it's at a distance) is a bit too strong. And the oversaturation of tree foliage specifically. But otherwise to be honest there's not a lot to dislike here, yeah the art style is not like for like in its feel but personally that doesn't bother me and I'm sure I would really enjoy playing through BoTW once more with these changes.
I would add to these critiques the fact that we can see everything very clearly in the lost woods... There's not enough fog. How am I supposed to lose myself in there if i can see where i'm going :'(
@@nananya7073 on pc you can turn off the fog and he probably did this to better showcase the graphics of his build.... also all the other things like view distance and pop in are adjustable settings on pc as well. I played through it for a second time with just a 3060TI and I was completely blown away by the 75 to 115 frame rate and the graphical improvements on the pc compared to my original experience on the switch.
Looks absolutely incredible
The zelda beats added a depth of flavor to the video. Cool!
Watching this on 144p really inherits all my emersion to what it feels like playing on a Digital Calculator
Zora’s domain looks insane😱
I really hope they bring back classic reversions of classic zelda songs. all of them back
that's exactly what was missing in this one, the epics zelda's musics.
Idk, it is technically "better" but I feel like it kinda disregards the more whimsical cell shaded artstile it has. This kinda stuff always has me on the fence. I think it has "better graphics" but the art direction suffers a lot.
I think I like the way it looks, but I still like the original
i guess the problem is the lacks of fog. the background image looks too sharp and vibrant.
@yaricoo yeah, I don't think its bad, it just looks a lot more realistic, but I don't think the zelda team were wanting to do that
This looks incredible! So good
I remembered growing up and 720p was the standard. Now almost everyone owns 1080p and 4k has become more affordable than before.
Seeing that 8k is now slowly growing. I could just imagine one day we'll all own 4k-8k as standards. Technology just keeps growing and people in the future will laugh at us watching this and saying this is nothing to them.
i will always play at 1080p it need a slower gpu
When I grew up 320x200 was the standard 😬
Meh, 4k adoption worldwide still isn't even at 50%. Worldwide I think it is still less than 20% adoption, and 8k is way lower.
Хороший результат 👍
Usually I don't like these kind of videos but my god... it really gets me thinking if Nintendo put some power in their machines because this simply raises the immersion.
Playing through BoTW on CEMU emulator WITHOUT the RT Reshade Mod, but at 4K, with other Community Reshade MODs, and at a solid 60FPS. I can safely say it is one of the best adventure RPG gaming experiences, ever. And I am almost 50 (i.e. generally bored of most games by now). If I had to play it on Swtich or WiiU, at crappy sub 30 fps with 720p resolution....nah...wouldn't even waste my time on it. Nintendo make great games, but unfortunately insist on making them for shit hardware.
Switch is not intended for something like this. I am ok with that. But companies should allow fair ways to customize an "owned" game. Otherwise innovations like this will never be available to the public.
amazing!, now add full voiceovers for all including a hearable actual "ha ha ha" from laughing npc not just some text 😅
This is crazy. Need to forget this so I'm not disappointed when I play the sequel.
Just play it on yuzu
@@hipcatnoob6611 but Yuzu is not optimised for BOTW
@@John_James you can run it at 30 fps with a gtx 1660 and an i5. I mean, not ideal, but possible. Same performance as the switch itself pretty much

I love your videos Digital.
Glad you like them!
Once I started emulating the game like this I seriously can’t go back to the switch it is just so much more enjoyable and it was easier to set up than I originally thought
Any guide you can share with me?¡
I hope if they ever make a switch pro they give the dock a sort of external graphics capability to allow games to render at significantly boosted quality when docked, while still keeping the current (or better) visual quality and battery life of an undocked switch. It would be crazy to see visuals anything comparable to this running on real nintendo console hardware.
Came to see the mod
Stayed for the awesome remixes
:3 good stuff, visually and musically!
I'd love to say the graphical upgrade is insane, but you've chocked the game full of so many shaders and post effects that it's difficult to see and compare the graphical enhancements themselves.
But the shader presets you're using definitely look amazing.
Is it? Just off rip especially in Zoe’s domain I personally can tell how much more Fidelity there is to the environment. Especially the actual textures which to me at least look meh there and most places on switch.
@@redsagexxvRight?
Simply amazing
Also love the music in the background, does anyone know who it's from?
People really love the take away the fog and faded look of the game when I think it's the games greatest visual feature and identity. Makes the game stand out from the rest of the zelda games and games in general.
I loath the fog!
@@daltonharkey932 Without it, the game looks like shit. It's clearly there to work in tandem with the visuals. Lots of blemishes show without it.

The only bane of getting into modding and making it look like this is you end up doing that way more than playing lol
Putting a link to your chair in the description is one of the most chad things I've seen
This makes some of the colors look off to me. But if that was tweaked, and there was no more wonky patches of textures glitching out in the distance then yeah this is an obvious upgrade. Don't think Nintendo is too oriented towards graphics nor do they really worry about it at all, though.
The resolution bump alone makes this a huge upgrade. Breath of the Wild looks so blurry on switch
@@kobeandgary Yeah and even though their cartoony art style really helps in smoothing that out, I have a big issue with motion blur in games.
@@kobeandgary not on a good monitor imo. One thing I always thought was really well done in the original are the LoD's though and in this version all those things are just gone. You see the shadows disappearing right in front of you and things just plop into existence.
Imo the best way to play this game is to just play it in a higher resolution and on a PC with good hardware
@@Julie-ns8vm dude I have a fucking lg c2 oled. It's one of the best fucking screens in the world. Breath of the Wild looks like ass on it.
@@kobeandgary then, either you mistake cell shading for blur, or you just don't like the art style and conflate that with sharpness. If I'm wrong, tell me exactly what you think looks bad, because I literally have no idea what you mean.
Only thing I believe could be better is the aliasing, but BotW already does it's best at the resolution the Switch can output and higher quality LoD levels, because objects at distance can always look better, but the current state is completely fine.
And the performance of course, could be better too.
This is incredible! Nintendo makes amazing games, but imagine if they would invest in hardware that was capable of even 50% of this...
Then the games wouldn't be as amazing
looks like they might be!
@@stimpy1278 No it won't be, because it'll be a handheld not a $2000 PC with a huge heat dissipation system and unlimited power draw. I'm expecting a 1080p machine, which should be a nice upgrade to the current Switch.
@carlosrosales9194 well obviously. But that’s just handheld. The leaks are for a switch that when docked is on par with Series X and PS5. So 4k, which is 50% of what this video is.
@@stimpy1278 I hope you honestly don't expect it to be on par with PS5 or XSX unless the thing costs the same as an iPhone. It's gonna use DLSS yes, but it's not magically going to make games from a 15 watt tablet look like games coming from a 200 watt machine.
I want to say though I'm against the point that Nintendo doesn't invest on good hardware. The Switch when it released was very impressive for its time, and the seamless transition from handheld to dock was groundbreaking.

The biggest difference I can notice between 1080p and 4k is if you turn off anti-aliasing, you can't see any jagged lines in 4k, but you can in 1080p. I can only imagine how good an 8k would look like.

You just missed the point of this video, art design can take you so far. Just look at God of War for an idea of the graphical requirements in a new game these days just so it can look this good.
@stuartdparnell God of war is definitely a failure for good gaming. This game is about 30 minutes of cutscenes and then 10 minutes of boring gameplay. Tasks in the god of war are something like “pull this lever, hit this lever.” In general, this is the bottom of gaming, not a game, its a movie ..

It's certainly running on CEMU, yes, but Reshade is a separate program you can run on top of basically anything so long as it used DirectX, OpenGL or Vulkan.
I saw this video a few months back and nothing makes you realize how much we need updated Switch hardware more than coming back to it after totk.
This is why i love the Modding Community so much
This game looks amazing even on WiiU
unbreakable game...hyrule was the perfect world
You know I just played botw to prepare for the next game. and I just cant with seeing kokoro forrest in that smooth 60fps
hello bro i would like to know what i have to do to play my zelda so what kind of settings did you use and what programs are needed?
Seems like there's still no solution for the horrible draw distance the emulator gets .. like 3:50 these flowers literally spawn underneath your feet - or the grass on the hill at 9:12
Many people won't notice this if they didn't play it on pc because in this video they're obviously not showing much of the open areas. It really breaks my immersion.
Engine limitation. No high end computer can emulate what isn't there
Yea probably, I read in the comments that there even is an increased draw distance in these settings. So it still sucks.
i heard there is a mod that fixes this issue, pre loading npc’s and stuff like that as soon as it should be in the view field no matter how far (well obviously not across the map), but i don’t know if it’s working well or if it is even out yet
@@marcelsi.3835 draw distance wont change things like grass and flowers. for that you have to change the LOD values for them to appear at far distances
Since the setup of this video is "RTX 4090 - 8k - Ultra graphics" I would assume the LOD is maxed out aswell .. So the result is the same
I will just move on, but thanks for the hint
