- This is one of the ways I like to take Bumble out for exercise! Free-roaming your hamster can be a great way to let them get a lot of their energy out as well as explore more outside of their cage, just make sure you have a safe hamster proofed room and that you're supervising! Good morning everyone! 🌞 ( or evening or night 🌚) today i wanted to film something a little different since I was taking Bumble out to free roam and she does so many silly things 😂 Bumble is a female cream banded Syrian hamster who is 17 months old!

My hamster once escaped her cage and I found her while refilling my rabbits hay box and she was in it lol
Animal_antics_ 56 my hamster got out when my parents were looking after her and my dad found her asleep in the corner of the room behind his chair laying next to chewed up carpet XD I miss her and my parents thought that they would have to buy me another hamster similar to her because they freaked out when they noticed the tank was open .
She sadly passed away 1-2 years ago

@@gabbymary5533 I have 7! 😬😂😂. I don't have enough space to put a detof which is what I wanted, but ive made a cage out of a dresser so its sturdy. It sits on the floor and I put a large wire dome cover over it when I'm asleep or out of the house just in case 😂

Be careful letting them around the house bc there’s too many dangerous things that they can get into. Stick to one room that you know they won’t get out from and hurt themselves

Hamsters are fun pets, I had a nice blonde one when I was a kid. She liked to go outside and explore in the back yard, closely supervised of course. I had an area fenced off just for her to run and play, she was a lot of fun to watch, very curious and energetic. Then when she was tired, I would bring her inside and she would sleep on my chest while I watched TV or something. Then back to her aquarium for the night. She was such a nice, gentle little thing, I still miss her. She lived to be three years old.
Every time I put my hamster in a playpen I provide her with a lot of space and toys but she always goes to the corners and tries to escape
so ungrateful lol

At first he did but after i put enough toys after to stimulate his brain.. But he got bored again... (witch his brain is never satisfied ) LoL
I'm having this same problem o have bought a playpen and put lots of toys but she kept trying to climb the sides and dig and when I made a large space in the house she did the same. Is it maybe a case of keep trying to see if they get used to it and put lots of things?

I recently got my first ham and Jenkins and I want to thank you for all your amazing content. He was terrified at first and had a scary brush with wet tail but with following all your tips for taming and cage setup and diet he’s a happy healthy little guy and we’re both loving each other’s company so much. Hey Victoria !! I have a Syrian hamster and whenever I try to take him out for floor time he just sits in a corner and won’t move any tips?
Is it an open space? If so, you could try putting things for him to run and hide under and boxes for him to explore etc. He might feel a bit more safe and secure that way.
Are you taking him out when it's a time he's usually active or do you wake him up to come out? As well as do you do have a lot of hides for him when in floortime?
do you have hides out for him? if not it might be because he's scared
Yes, I usually take him out at 10 or 11pm and I put out tons of places for him to hide and I scatter food places to encourage him to explore. Maybe floor time just isn’t his thing? 🤷♀️🤣
