I started watching NCIS because May 2016 my husband of 33yrs suddenly died of a brain aneurysm in our bed & I couldn't sleep anymore with the pain & memories so I left the bedroom TV nonstop. 24/7 for 2yrs + its been on channel 23 which shows repeats of NCIS & Law & order constantly. I can't bear the house to be silent anymore. I've watched NCIS so much I've made me a 1-16 & numbers 1-24 under each column where I mark off the shows watched & therefore don't record the shows I've seen... even though I watch them constantly. Mark/ Jethro reminds me of my wonderful husband. Just like pam said ... I too married a man that is rare to find this day & age. They don't make them like that anymore. My own kids are like they were raised to be. I hope they will remain together forever & God be with them when they lose the other in death. It's an AWFUL pain that just doesn't end

@@semones57 That's when I went to work also. I have 6 daughters and I still had to get them ready for school every morning. (hair combing was a chore, definitely ) My husband worked 1st shift then, 2nd and eventually 3rd. One reason I started working is to have my own spending money. Don't get me wrong, hubby took great care of us but, I wanted to buy things without having to always ask him to buy it.

What they have isn't just rare in "Hollywood", its just "rare" period. People don't want to make sacrifices or put someone else before themselves. Marriage is now treated as "until we get sick of each other" not as "until death do us part". Good for them. It is darn near impossible to find a man who is willing to actually "work" to have a happy marriage/relationship, unlike most guys who just cut and run when there are problems/issues. Wish Mark and Pam the best. May they always be happy and in love with each other.
We just celebrated 45 yrs. together..In our day if there was a problem we fixed it , we didn't throw it away...I'm truly blessed with an AMAZING wife..

In this life it is very rare to have what you two have. Its so wonderful and good to know that if a couple realises that in life its the love and relationships close to you that really counts. Kudos to her for choosing her kids and husband over working and fame. Raising children is the most rewarding job to have. It's not really a job because it is so rewarding. It's too bad that women today have to work. I chose to stay home with my kids but, when they were born, women could still do that. Too bad that has all changed. I have a great respect for Pam for choosing to do that.

I so admire her, I was a stay at home mum, I think its the most important job in the world! The best gift you can give to your children! I had a career yes, but you can' t have it all! You can' t!! And I am sure the children are the ones who suffer when you do it!!
Jan - I was a "stay-at-home mom and I believe my kids turned out better because I was there to stabilize the family which we don't have many moms due to having to work to support the family along side of their husbands. Nothing is easy in this life. However, I'm glad how my kids turned out "well adjusted independent adults" with strong careers which they enjoy and their family of their own. What better credit for any mom and dad?

I met my husband and after 2 weeks we married and stayed married until "death do we part" - almost 50 years. We had two kids. I worked when the family needed and didn't when they needed. Lost everything and had to start completely over 4 times. First our faith in Christ was the glue that got us through the hard times. We faced all crisis with our backs toward each other and never turned on each other - and that included kids and family. The sex was good too and we allowed each other to be who we were - I never expected him to be Mr Fix-it and he never expected me to be Betty Crocker. I miss him but look forward to when I close my eyes to see him again - not in the same relationship but that won't matter

That's so cool they have been married for all those years good on u Pam u meet someone who loves unconditionally ur husband is a cool actor and u can see how much he loves u and both u and his children that's so cool at least he has someone who loves him just the same cool u meet mark and fell in love and been married for all these years a ring is round and has no end. U can see by that ring that he loves u unconditionally it's cool u keep ur family out of the public eye because what goes on should be between u and ur husband and the kids. That is a Fantastic example of what a parent should be like. After God, family comes next, and they didn't choose who their parents are.. I'm am so happy for Pam and Mark for being great examples for their 2 sons. We have way too many people putting their children in public view... 30 years of marriage is almost not heard of in today's society, especially in Hollywood... I'm going be married 48 years in July, Lord willing and I spent 28 years in the Navy and was home a total of 8 years out of the first 25 years we were married. anyone interested in my 54 year marriage. Well first of all you have to live that long so it is unfair really to think you are great. Many more didn't get that chance, but were very happy until they lost their mate. But deep respect for each other plays a special role in. Sadly sometimes that is not the case as respect has to be earned.

These two would not have necessarily made it as a couple if both had continued to work. The fact that Pam left her acting to raise her children is a big reason for their success in the marriage. Two actors that are both away working would not have made it a conducive situation. Imo.
