I subbed a week or 2 ago because you make good, succinct videos that don't waste my time spam my feed. That you share great strats and novel perspectives on the game just makes it better
The only thing unfortunate about this is it requires being a monarchy. And in some cases you need to find a way to remove your consort if you want to be able to do this, however it's also worth noting that you for the most part can't get much use out of this in Italy for example because you have to have a consort with a different culture be in charge of your nation or go with a civil war to do this
In Denmark runs you get an Bavarian Wittelsbacher on yout throne, a short time later you get an event to flip to Bavarian culture, its easier to get the hre emporer, because you dont have the 'non german' malus anymore. After you revoke, just culture switch back and form scandinavia.

It's not the Money that is the biggest problem for switching with Rebels... it's Time! Time in which you cannot fight any war and cannot have any allies that call you in and luck that the Rebels path is working as intended and then alsl it costs a lot

i guess a better way to rephrase my question about republics is this. when is considered 'early game' in regards to when it's still worth flipping to republic, and when is a point in time when it's worth going monarchy/theocracy (for either question if there's not a good answer for an exact time, specifying an age (such as age of discovery as an example) could work)
So as I said this is really not dependent on Time... it depents on Government Reforms and it really depends on your autonomy, your Privileges and your crownland when you get to the point where it is worth it to become a Theocracy But if you want to have a digged down number to rely on even though you know that it is Reform based then I'll tell you that 1550 is a reasonable moment to become a Theocracy

Yeah they are typically the primary culture and religion when a republic or when you choose a local one from Elective Monarchy... otherwise if you have a Dynasty from before that was English than you need to change your Dynasty somehow or trigger some rare events for converting the heirs culture
Hmm... I'm wondering now if you could use this technique to convert Trebizond to Islam, since Trebizond is the only Nation that can royal marry muslim nations.

I have a question. Which Latin culture is the best for aragon to shift into first (between the culture of Sardinia (which aragon doesn't own all of and is low development). The culture of Sicily (which aragon owns basically all of but doesn't help form any specific Italian formable aside from two sicilies), or just wait until after integrating Naples and shift to there culture) and when to do so?, Or is Venice the better choice to become an Italian signoria sooner to form Italy and culture shift to be able to make use of the Italian formables?
Aragon is better... and maybe you should just use the tactic of the video you are commenting below right now ;) Just wait for a ruler with no consort and then royal marry nations with your desired culture until you get a consort of that and then go on as in the video... otherwise Piedemont culture is the best italian formable
That can work if also applied with your aragon video (though I lack the dlc that would allow me to also claim Portugal). The problem is I'd need to find a way around the death of the first ruler and second ruler (the hair of Aragon has a consort if I recall correctly, and the first ruler starts with one). And the sooner I accomplish this the better for monarch points it will be. Also it doesn't have to be any particular sub culture for the signoria to be possible, though like you said some are more valuable than others (Tuscan gives stability and tech/idea cost in addition to adviser cost. Through mostly it's for the diplomat. The culture of Naples for a free tolerance and reform progress. The piedmont culture will help with missionary strength and both admin efficiency and goods produced, though most of them also will provide permanent claims outside of Italy) I just don't know how long it might take for it (though Sardinia-piedmont would definitely be the first choice for the admin efficiency, it would help a considerable amount with restating and the national ideas would also help)

Great insight. Randomly used it to change culture and form Netherlands. However this didn’t work as Nahua Aztec trying to change to Mayan… so maybe not every religion can change?
Can this trigger for Bohemia after you don't convert with the Hussite leader event, but still take him as a leader? I'm trying this, but the event doesn't really comes
Looks like the culture event needs your heir to be the culture too? That’s a lot more difficult since you can’t use just the consort. Cool video though. There’s gotta be some kinda bullshit you can pull off with this.
Yeah but you can just let that Regent overtake completly if your heir dies while in Regency and you can also use the foreign Ruler from Elective Monarchy
You could cheese this as a theocracy, take a foreign dynasty as your heir and when he ascends the throne do it again for his heir, then swap to monarchy, via goverment reform. This does require enough government reform to get to the point where you can switch to a monarchy.
I have a question. If you start as Savoy is it worth becoming a republic via Tuscany?, I know all the Italian formables are formable once you have level 10 admin tech (assuming you meet all the other requirements) I'm just trying to think of a way to form the best possible Italy with the best government possible for doing so and can benefit the most from being protestant even after getting Italian ideas (also I do have leviathan and origin, which means great projects can be taken into account (I don't know if I'm patient enough to wait 20 years for the king of Aragon to die and release Naples if I play as them.
