Nice video-just some updates-you showed pictures only of the Hilton pool vs the "Pool Club" at Mahogany Bay, which is so much prettier than the Hilton Pool. Not all the Hilton units have only screens, I believe it's just the casitas and the "keeping suites". For the residences as you referred to, not all are Mariott, some have chosen to only rent via airbnb or vrbo and some people live there full or part time. Did you know that there is a fabulous sushi place at Mahogany Bay-JYOTO that is so AMAZING? I don't find that Mahogany Bay is congested as you stated, the traffic starts to get less right after the Alaia.
Just an FYI, the Farmhouse is scheduled to open up a new location within Mahogany Bay very, very soon, we are super excited.
You are correct about the Watermark. They missed the mark with not buying the property at the beachfront. Crazy.
Seawalls have nothing to do with sargassum, but rather beach erosion, unfortunately. The resorts have removed the mangroves, which protects the island and they find out quickly that they lose their beaches. This happens in Cayes (keys) just like Key West. nobody tends to want mangroves on their beaches, but the locals do no like the mangroves being taken away, they prefer the natural look, but you also can't have a beach with mangroves either.
I love Jyoto's but thats in a video to come. Since we were only talking about the Hilton and the Pool club technically is not the Hilton we did not include but you are 1000% correct that it is much prettier.
seawall does stop the sargassum from washing onto the beach that is above the seawall and that is what we meant.

For most luxurious I would pick Mata Chica over Alia every day. Next time you visit, please give it a try!!
@goodmusicplace Mata Chica is great, but it's the location and distance for us.
Belize is a little expensive when it comes to accommodations! When I traveled to Guatemala at least I got a breath taking view of the volcanoes! Belize looks nice but not worth the hotel prices (I've seen some hotels range from $250 to $450 a night! for a small room) then again I think I'm going close to high season (in November) maybe thats why the prices are so high. I opted to do a vacation rental/airbnb
I have to agree with you, but they do have more budget friendly options. Try Phoenix or sea breeze and see if those prices are better, but I definitely understand. November is definitely the beginning of the high season. Please share where you choose to stay and maybe we can review that next.

@@blasianstation I booked Caribe Island Resort vacation rentals (condos) I’m also traveling with two kids and another problem I ran into was a lot of accommodation only were for 2 guests max. A lot of places were more for adults or couples but we’re excited to be visiting in November!!
what a great place to stay! There are numerous adult only places on the island, you're correct. you will have a blast in November. just bring mosquitoes repellent!!!
