Good review. The SVR is awesome and may be the replacement for my F type V8S convertible. While I am totally uninterested in mpg for this type of car, a couple of data points I have 0- 1/2 mile drag races....5 mpg. Cruising between Miami and Tampa at 70 mph to 80 mph ...25 mpg, which really surprised me. One question that I do have is whether you can get ventilated seats in the SVR? Real nice to have option here in Florida. N/A in my car.
Your review and the way you talk is really good in my opinion but you should vary the camera angles and put some music, not the first video i comment like this. But keep it up, i can see the effort!!
this car costs 320000 pounds in india 😕😷p.s jaguar is there in India, and worst its owned by tata and still the price is so so so high btw awesome review
I think it would depend on the environment. On a track my money would be on the 911, but on some technical country roads the F-Type feels more agile. Maybe we should put the two head to head in the future?
Inside Lane that would be a great thing to see. To balance it out, you should bring a corvette z06 which is spiritually very similar to the jag. Big snarly v8 and more brute force than finesse. Good video, thanks
@@insidelane Having owned both, the F Type is no match on back roads compared to a 911. It is an incredibly fun car, however, and tough not to constantly push things to hear that incredible sound.
why oh why cant Jaguar, make a modern E type?Porsche have managed it for years with the 911 and i think Jaguar could have gone down the same road as Porsche.not saying the f type is not a good car but it does not have the E type's class.is there nobody in Jaguar that shares my dream?shame.
i mentioned the 911 for a reason.i would bet my house on a updated and new E type being a success.how long has the 911 being going for and the germans are still producing it.the E type would have been the same storey.sorry the f type comes nowhere near the E type for class or style.just my opinion.
Porsche weighes the same with 30% less torque. Crap. You can raise the redline to generate power from the weak Porsche engine, but the engine won't last very long and the Jag is still 20% more powerful at 6500RPM as the Porsche at 9000RPM.
Sandy You’re full of shit. The F Type will lose to a 911. It will get killed by a Turbo. I doubt you own a F Type. You know nothing about them. So ignorant you even got the models mixed up. Hate on Porsche all you like. It’s a better car than the Jag.
@@kknelson3571 Who gives a shit what wins? If I had the choice between every other prick who owns a 911 or the rare occasion of owning an Ftype SVR...I'd take the Jag any day..Given your anger over something so insignificant, you sound more like a fanboy than an owner yourself. So, swing that pendulum back the other way. Stop crying and insulting people over something so damn subjective. Jesus...
The best car I’ve ever owned, period!
Fabulous review; I collected my SVR today. Soon driving all over New Zealand!!!! Lucky!!!!
Great vid, really good. For the car though, those panel gaps that interrupt the top of the front arches cannot be unseen. But what a sound.
Good, positive review. I'm excited to try it out. Thanks for the video
Fabulous review of a fabulous car!!!
Thank you very much!

Great Video Review of a fantastic British Sports Car with a great Engine
Glad you liked it. More Jaguar action next week.

I love this car and I want to own it - more than a 911 in fact. But....I think you're mistaken to say this car could outpace a 911 turbo.

To be honest, this SVR is a precise instrument. It's not that much of a muscle car despite its V8. More of a super GT thanks to all wheel drive.
Turbo S is a lot more money though...

+john john I think Jag wanted the F Type to be very much a car of its time, in the same way the E Type was when it was new.
