That goodwill bin was cake. If you go visit Joey go by the one in West Palm and that place is MADNESS those Haitian ladies literally make a tent out of bed sheets, bring chairs and camp inside the place all day. They being microwave and heat their food up and all. When the drops come they scoops everything they get their hands on. Im not sure if its like that everywhere but the one you were at was pretty chill. I went to the other bins in Orlando after i seen you that one time but there was no drops the stuff was there from before so im guessing thats why it was chill
There’re 3 outlets near me, one isa great goodwill outlet for shoes. They do about 3 rotations a day. They don’t put shoes in every rotation but I know the times more or less of when they put the shoe bin. They charge 1.19lb after 25 lbs so with shoes is easy to go over 25lbs. I only source shoes so the people often save shoes for me.
It’s all about making connections. I used to pay 10-15 dls per shoe at regular thrifts but with the bins I pay about $2 for great shoes.
This year I’ve double my profits from last year and we are not even at the end of the year. I love the bins

This is exactly how I felt when I used to do retail arbitrage. I would watch videos and I had major fomo so I took the info from the videos and also sucscribed to some bolo lists from stores. A lot of them were Marshall’s/TJ Maxx kind of stores where you never know if you will find what they suggest. I would spend all day at multiple stores looking for these golden nuggets others had found. And sometimes I would find one and it was super exciting. But then for me personally I realized I could source other ways (wholesale, bulk buys, flea markets etc) with lower profit margins, but where I knew I could find profit Daily. And it took waaaaay less time. And all those little profits added up to more than the one grail a lot of the time. And while it’s not as exciting as finding a grail or a crazy profit item, for me the consistency and ease of knowing I have profitable inventory coming in for less time invested is worth it to me. But I love as resellers how we all find what works best for us and run with it!

I’ve been to that particular bins you went to several times as it’s the closest one near me; I hate it! Lol I’m a clothing reseller and I don’t like having to dig and dig just for junk. I can hit several goodwill racks and find way more profit and there’s no stress.
And now we know why they don't want people filming. They don't want people to know how terrible the experience is between the rude people, long waits and crappy products
For me going to bins is fun! When doing shoes, keep the ones and the match is there, just look.. I found a car vacuum for $1.25 took 3 bins to find all the pieces and had others help me. It’s attitude
There is usually incidents at the bins, where I am the police is called very often to the bins cuz fights break out, and people get really nasty.
good tip for ya if youre at the bins grab all the lightweight sports gear and you can sell them same day to play it again sports for 20% more
Just a lil note for yah... your setup when you are talking to the camera head on in your place is fantastic! You should do more instructional videos on like what to look for in hookas or in certain type of Nikes etc. Your set up is exactly like what I love to see in a Peter McKinnon video. I would watch way more if you had videos like this! I would honestly study Peter McKinon videos! I am honestly super impressed with your setup. I would also love to see a few videos of going to a few thrift stores that are not just Goodwill and Salvation Army, but smaller type of thrift stores or even like a "rag warehouse" for shoes lol. Great video!
Wow. I am so sorry that you and your friend were treated so poorly by others there. I have only gone to the bins three times in my life. Each time, I only stayed for about 15-20 mins before leaving empty handed. I cannot stand the chaos of the experience. The last time I went I was focused on shoes and could not find matches to some of the more decent pairs. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I would LOVE to have the BIN experience like Hairy Tornado has where they don't sort through the product and cherry pick before they send it out to the floor. My BINS are the Nastiest of the nasty, and send out absolute Junk. The people are Rude, Crude and the worst of the worst as well.
The bins are not for everyone. You have to have a psychopathic side and be willing to tap into it. It sucks but when everyone else doesn’t follow rules and acts selfish, you have to do the same thing if you want to find good products and pay your bills and feed your belly.
The bins near me are not good at doing rotations. There are days where they do no rotations at all and weeks where they may only do one or two per day. I go once a week and occasionally twice. I have left empty handed once in 2 years. Currently they only put out 3 bins of clothing due to being "Overstocked on hard goods" . There are people here that go every day and say all day, that's just not profitable enough for me with how the place is currently managed. In their defense, they are seriously understaffed and have a hard time keeping quality employees.
I love the bins by me. Of course it's hit or miss. I am an everything seller and have learned so much from you about shoes. I just recently found a salvation army bin location that is only opened once a week. The first time in there I was like a kid in a candy store because it's literally about 20 bins full of shoes.

That "Land Before Time" t shirt had small print at the lower edge of the graphic where you may have been able to find a date. With something that popular it would have been well worth the risk even with the damaged sleeve. I just sold a very obscure t shirt in worse condition for $20

Thanks for hanging in there. We loved our bins in Salem and Hillsboro Oregon. Moved to Arizona and Phoenix and Tuscon are not very good. Goodwill does offer a 20% coupon online I can use it everyday for purchase over $20 And they have Dollar day with the color tag of the week only $1 but hard to find quality stuff and there are so many people that day.
I sell 75% Shoes 25% Clothing. I source online, buy sell trade stores, Savers, (I have 30% off ) and Garage Sales. Goodwill on rare occasions. Never the bins, probably never will.

Sorry to hear you guys had a rough time at the PH bins :( (i knew it looked familiar lol) it can def get crazy but you did have a high profile with that camera on but i get it yall have to grind. i like to keep low and usually avoid the new bin drops until it dissipates you’d be surprised at how much these people miss even though they look like they know what they’re looking for 😂

The bins here is like 2.5 hours away from me so I don't ever go there. I have been using online auctions for shoes lately.
I tried to switch to just shoes. But in my area the thrift store prices are just too high. So I go to the bins. I get clothes shoes & whatever else. My sales went back up. So in conclusion do what works for you
I actually have great experience selling single shoes. My main customers are Amputees or artist working on projects. You'll be surprised. Don't sleep on lone single shoes

No way 6 hrs for that little bit your times worth more than that . I’ve stopped going to yard sales for the few pairs of sneakers I find it’s not worth 2-3 hrs
