    Howdy!
    This is me!
I love to go to the flea, estate sales, garage sales, thrift stores
Just started selling on ebay less than a month ago and... BAM got a notification about 1099-K im not scared, only when i read they need my ss# i guess its okay and its not a scam.
Thing is, at garage sales and flea markets they dont give recipes.
The receipts are only used to help paying less taxes, right?
So i really dont need gas receipts, packaging expenses etc.
I do not want to be intimidated by new law. Maybe next year i will start gathering receipts depending how much taxes i have to pay Aug 2023 - dec 2023.

Automotive parts are great to sell. Some of my best flips in the past have been auto parts lots.

Hey there dude, I appreciate your videos!
I have been reselling for a while now, but only Full Time supporting myself and my girlfriend just this last year.
I have a respectful question for you. I have zero issue with haggling, though I don't like to do it much myself I will generally take offers from customers.
Why do you worry about the extra $5 on some items, when you're making over $100 or more on certain items. Do you just enjoy haggling, or is there some other reason for being concerned with such a miniscule amount?
I did about $50,000 before taxes last year, and I really would never be concerned with another $5 on something I am making $100s on myself, But that's just me

I understand you wanting to part out the patches. Two questions on that. Did you give anything thought to just trying to sell the jacket with the patches on it in one fell swoop? And does not the fact that the patches have been previously sewed, decrease their value? I'm just curious, obviously you know whole lot more about patches than I do.

Have you made an updated video on inkfrog yet? I want to do it, but i read a lot of people complaining and you acknowledging you left out some steps...I dont want to have the problems the others did, so hoping you can make a new video on how to transfer listings from one account to another? If you dont have time to create a corrected video, maybe you can just reply with a numbered step-by-step directions?

Hey Mike. I've had success many times using inkfrog to transfer listigns. But, the truth is if you don't understand how to do the transfer it can be very complicated. Plus, it doesn't help that inkfrog doesn't make things easy. I haven't made a new video yet, but if I do I'll probably make a video of how to transfer listings with a different service. I've heard that it's easier to do so on Sixbit but I haven't tried it yet. If I do, I'll make a video detailing the process with Sixbit.

PS..if you already created a "corrected" video on inkfrog, can you delete the old one and provide link to the new one?

Great video but you might want to out down on how great the finds are in front of the sellers and shoppers. they will start to jack the prices up. I've watched this happen in real time before over 2/3 years things we used to pick up for $1 to $2 are now $10+ because they know we're ebay sellers its the same items.

I understand where you're coming from, but unfortunately in the time we live in now with technology it doesn't even matter. With cell phones and the internet, anyone can find market value of an item in a split second. Plus, every reseller on youtube does the same thing that I've done in this video. There's no stopping technology, and the world isn't the same place as it was 20 years ago before smartphones. Most secondhand stores (thrifts stores, ect) have caught onto this already, and it's much harder anymore to find deals in places where consumers are more educated. That being said, there is and always will be deals to find. Most of the items that I buy to resell the sellers know what they're worth. But they want to sell the items quickly so they intentionally underprice them. Plus, they don't want to deal with the work that goes into online selling. You have to list items, photograph them, ship them, deal with customer service and returns, pay taxes, the list goes on and on. But if you're willing to hustle harder than most, you'll always find deals.

Hello another great video, I have learned a lot from your videos. I am hoping you can help me, When I post my items on ebay they display sideways. I am using a Samsung phone. If I post on other platforms they display the correct way. I would appreciate any help you or you other viewers can offer.

How do you know each item will sell? Like do you do research right there and then? Or is it an instinct?

    • @CoachCommerce
      @CoachCommerce  2 роки тому +1

Great question Jessie. The more you resell, the better your instinct gets. After a while, you start to get "the eye" and you can almost tell the value of anything without looking it up. When I started out 12 years ago, I spent a lot of time researching and looking at sold listings on eBay. I still do use my phone (with the eBay app) to cross check values on items that I'm unsure of. But, I don't use it nearly as much as I did when I was just starting out. In regards to sell through rates, Terapeak research on eBay will give you a great idea on how quickly a particular product will sell. I try to aim towards fast moving products, but I'm also not afraid to hold onto something for a little while to get the most profit out of it. I hope this info helps! ~ Justin
