Hi this is amazing, far too advanced from where I am currently at but I need to do a curved wall on for a sloping garden, I have followed your video however it is saying 'one or more of the selected objects is either not a solid or is locked? can you advise where I might be going wrong? Thanks :'-)
That's awesome. Thank you so much for showing this! It's a tool that comes integrated, yet we often have difficulty imagining ways of using it haha, so this is definitely helpful :).
What would be great is if in these type of tutorials you do what's needed without extensions then show an easier/faster way to do it with an extension. Either way, great tutorials. I learned a lot from these.
i'm not religious but god bless you : ) i tried for ages to make a simple curve that is a solid and has soft edges and i'm really bad with tech but don't want to give up .
This is great... however I have a wall that is around a roundabout, with a continuous wave all around.... I don't see this technique working for me.... any clues ?

Thanks for your explanation But the question is what about Windows, if the wall is long, and you want Windows to go up and down with the wall, is there a way? Thank you
Hello there. I have a question ..I want to make a connected ceiling which starts from the ground till up that turns to a ceiling. Somehow like modern stands nowadays! ..can you please show us how to do that?
@@Thesketchupessentials Well I really don't know what it's called..but let me explain it otherwise, I'm doing a project now and I want to create a modern ceiling which kinda starts from the floor on one side then becomes a wall then and gradually goes up (curved and smooth) to become a ceiling for another side! So how we can create such a shape? So it's like a part of a floor, wall and ceiling are connected together by a smooth curved shape!
Justin, nice demo but it's not quite right. The curved cut that you created as the cutting solid is parallel along the horizontal. When creating a curved wall, or even a hedge for example the cut is actually radial to the vertical face/s. Your demo creates a good visual esp for narrow walls, wide walls don't look so good. Perhaps do a more advanced video using true bend or cut along a path, 1001bit (I think).
Hi everyone - hope you're having a good Friday! :)
In 3ds max we called proboolean. Anyway nice demonstration but can do curve floor plan with slanted wall with different degree's??☺️

What can I use for a solid wall for a oval race track model like Daytona

It means that your wall or your cutting object either has a hole in it somewhere or an internal face - it's not a "solid"
how did you make the railing along the slope as in the thumbnail @TheSketchUpEssentials ??
Thanks for your explanation
But the question is what about Windows, if the wall is long, and you want Windows to go up and down with the wall, is there a way? Thank you
Hi just one question can we curve a straight wall?
thanx...
No worries!
@@Thesketchupessentials whoa..!... Really appreciate, Got reply from you 🙏

I don't understand what you're trying to create

Hi Justin.
Is this the Eneroth Solid Tools Pro ?
Never mind Justin, I just noticed that you use the one in SketchUp. My bad.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD IT?
Justin, nice demo but it's not quite right. The curved cut that you created as the cutting solid is parallel along the horizontal. I agree. The elevation change needs to be consistent along the path of the wall. Not sure if there is another video of Justin’s covering this?
i cant find this tool
It's all good what you show there, but I use SketchUp make and I can not use this solid tool, unfortunately. It has to be something else for that.
intersect faces ?
@@Eigenartigsten it is elaborate, there is a tool hole on solid, it does the same thing as solid tool
@@w.binder-freecadchannel just use intersect faces and delete all the parts you don't want
Now I'm starting to like Sketch Up than Revit hahaha
Lol!
how do you get the axis to lock along a direction? as in: ua-cam.com/video/g1zz8KwD0T0/v-deo.html
Try this - ua-cam.com/video/tHYXGt84yGo/v-deo.html
Thanks so much Justin - - this is a very handy technique.
