I’ve wondered about this since if I can ever manage to attend a rundisney event Ill likely be doing a similar pace (6:30-7:30). Looks pretty lonely at that pace and didn’t see many spectators. Is it still fun/worth the high entry fee? Also did you finish before the rest of corrals had started? I’m interested in your thoughts.
Thanks for watching! So obviously I'm going to say yes I think it's still worth it. However I will say I don't always run this pace for RunDisney Races. A lot of time I'll run with a group in like the 7:30-8:30 range. In general there isn't a ton of places to spectate at the races and certainly are a little less than during peak finish times. Yes, I did finish this one before the last corrals started. However there are a lot of benefits to running them faster. You usually don't have nay lines for character stops except maybe the first one or two, You tend to get really awesome photopass pictures of you running through the parks/finish, and less people around can definitely be nice because some areas of the course get tight for those later in the race. Also you usually finish before the sun comes out and the weather gets rough. We also really enjoy hanging out at the end of the races waiting for everyone to finish. Depending on the race, any course that goes through MK is pretty hype and full of spectators going down Mainstreet regardless of the pace. Hope this helps!
Good job on the 6:30 pace while doing character stops. Looking forward to my first 10k at springtime surprise
