i saw this play earlier this year. It was really funny and it cheered me, it was a bonus to have Cedric shake my hand as he walked down the aisle It was the same cast. You could they genuinely poured the heart and souls into this production. I hope they all have further success in their careers.
OMG! My school's Theatre group did this and I got to help with backstage, and I loved it. They built the set almost exactly the same and it was wonderful. Most parents were kind of scared because they didn't realise it would be this family-unfriendly and it was hilarious.
I was just in a production of this at my school! We had to perform outside due to COVID restrictions, so our stage design was quite different from usual, but I think it worked out pretty well. I played Professor Lanny as well as one of the death buddies. It was super fun!
is this just the year where every school is doing puffs? bc my school’s doing it too edit: we just finished three shows of puffs!!! i play one of the hermeeones! and we added a dragon and I’m the wings!
My school is doing this show and I got in. I'm technically just a side character (our director spread the characters out for more people to get in) but it's incredibly funny to watch the cast practicing. Especially when someone is missing.
I just got done with this show at my high school! My wizard god, this was so much fun!! (For those wondering, my director split a few parts so more people could be cast. I played: Helga, Sproutty, Prof. Lanny/Runes Teach/Ms. Babble, Real Mr. Moody, and I played a death buddy. Specifically the one that Voldy harasses lmao) THIRD OR NOTHING!!!!
My school is doing this play this year, and i couldn’t be any more excited to be a part of it. i get to be the one and only Wayne in our show, even tho we are stuck with masks and covid rules. Really glad to have an opportunity to have this be my last fall play in highschool
i get to be harry for this play this year!! its really fun and i recommend it even if you haven’t read harry potter, i haven’t and i still got cast as him lol
I’m looking at this cause I’m doing an audition for the play! This is my first audition and I’m very nervous! But I’m auditioning for Leanne and Megan Jones!
I'm gonna try out for this for school tomorrow I'm scared, this will be the second play I've auditioned for, the first I was nervous at the beginning and of course towards the end is when I started doing it right- I wanna go for a background character tho
@Amber Gilbert yes i do!! my best advice is be as annoying as possible, make your voice high, and just be really happy and cheery!! the death scene is kinda hard, just be really overdramatic and make your voice rlly weak and shaky!! hope this helps and break a leg
Ok so this is late but if your still auditioning, prepare a comedic monologue. Most characters need English accents but Wayne doesn't. However, I would do the monologue in an English accent to show you can do one
I just did my first rehearsal for Puffs (I'm the Real Mr. Moody, Prof. Turban, Sal, Colin, and Seamus), we got our scripts and read up to act 2. I went home and finished the script and nearly cried. Like if you felt the same
My theatre (we're doing this play) has secretly queered every character in here as our director had to do rewrites to try and cishet everything (due to a small cast we have a lot of genderbending so she tried to keep it het) and yet Finch and Ernie still ended up boyfriends in our rendition.
K Foster I almost did and I’m glad I didn’t. It looks like it is just silly from the previews but it has a lot of heart and ends in a really powerful spot.
*Who’s that? Oh. It’s me Hannah. I’m Hannah.*
Relatable af

I watched the recording of this and almost died. 10/10 would recommend this, it is hilarious.

Ohh, so your group build all those doors on the stage? I imagine that must be quite different from other plays.
@@TarunoNafs Oh, I learned that they didn't build the set, they hired it and just made some removable additions to it.
