Thanks for solving my puzzle! When you commented "there must be something obvious" (or something to that effect), there were two things that were something obvious: the A clue in column 1 had only one cell to go in and column 6 had only one place for 6 to go.
Nvm about col 1. I just rewatched and saw you got that by that point. I just remembered it as an obvious thing that was missed.
Very enjoyable from you theasylm! Great use of JSS with fog, mixed in with letters for cages. Loved the 2 pictures . Nicely solved Rangsk.
Nice puzzle! Kind comment!! 🤠
Nice solve. But there is an easier way to do the end: Once you are done with coloring the only place for 6 in c6 is inside the 9 region, making it 126.
My first attempt failed miserably, since I immediately forgot the cages were read as numbers, NOT their sum, and got nowhere. My second attempt went just a bit better, completing in 7:40. 😅 Many thanks to theasylm for a very cool puzzle, and forgive me for botching it the first time!
Took me just over 14 mins, not my best performance, but took me a while to get my head around the rules! Haven't tried a Japanese sums puzzle before.
You can find the digit in r5c1 a LOT more efficiently, I'll leave the proof to the reader 😊
Took me almost 20 minutes. Took me too long to figure out what the letters represented.
The rule about the letters made no sense to me I can't lie
Great puzzle! What did you mean by "11 needs at least 3 cells"? I assume you refer to the (not yet pencilmarked) 56 in C2? That remark confused me a bit ...
Yeah, sorry that wasn't clear, but you got it. Because we can't use 5 and 6 we need at least 3 cells for 11.
