I prayed for California to get snow and rain two months ago and my prayers have been answered. Fill up the Reservoirs throughout California, especially Southern California. 🤣 I can confirm this I'm actually a AAA tow operator in Southern California. we had calls pending up to 15 hours our call volume was far to high to the point that we had to turn down even PD and chp calls. I work from 3am-3pm but today I worked until 6pm oh man I feel bad for our night shift lol
Last time I remember this severe crazy weather was in the 90s during El Nino. I love the attitude of Californians. They are happy to have rain and snow. They make the best of it. Keep it up, Cali people. Driving conditions are dangerous and we don't know ho wto handle that! The floods cause damages. But we will be okay. The drought will be over for a while, and God willing, we will have a good harvest in the fall. Good reporting KTLA.

That can be a very nice investment for California in the long run. You have plenty of seawater.

That studio report was strange. So the weather is moving through all these neighborhoods and locations, yes, but what is it actually doing there? So I remember the grapevine being closed several times for ice and flooding when I lived in the Antelope Valley 1995-2008. It's not unusual. And yes, palm trees bend in the wind-that also is not unusual. However, the floods in Studio City are unusual. Studio City needs to work on its drainage system. No floods up here in Pasadena, thank goodness.

So I guess it’s context yeah people in the Minneapolis Saint Paul cleared plowed the next day my whole driveway was plowed out and my neighbors shoveled and plowed their walks and sidewalks and the whole city system was completely on plowing and within 48 hours the roads were cleared from about 14 inches of snow. Interesting differences. Flash folding is scary!
Looks like it flooded in Studio City and that's about it. Haven't heard of any more floods. Here in Pasadena the roads were fine. No trees were blown down that I've heard of-not like 2010 when we had a horrendous wind storm and all the young trees fell over. The snow in the mountains around here is light. It's only in the higher elevations that snow is heavy, and that is more welcome than unusual-people there know how to handle it. The grapevine? That's often a problem for traffic at this time of year.

Being from Cali, driving in Utah and Colorado snow set the bar for driving for me, rain driving is now a breeze, as long as your tires are good that is.

Well they close the freeways because of those running Bald tires. They spin out in the dry, wipe out in the rain, and god knows what If they get into ice or snow. California has inspections, but it's useless to the unregistered and uninsured.

@@michaelkendall662 I live in the coast range mountains. No where near Portland hell. We get one or two good snow dumps every year. Been out of power for a week after one ice storm. We also get one or two hurricane force storms every year. Some years we get almost 200 inches of rain.

Driving in snow and rain is a skill most people don't have. I lived in Colorado for 11 years.

Well they close the freeways because of those running Bald tires. They spin out in the dry, wipe out in the rain, and god knows what If they get into ice or snow. California has inspections, but it's useless to the unregistered and uninsured.
Obviously we are not used to those conditions because most of the year we have the best weather 😄

DUUUUUH....you do not regularly get 2 FEET of snow in a day in Portlandia....I know I lived there for a year while in overhaul........if you check out some other reports you will find Mammoth Lakes is above average on their slopes of MORE than 400 inches this year........is that another average day goof ball
@@michaelkendall662 I live in the coast range mountains. No where near Portland hell. We get one or two good snow dumps every year. Been out of power for a week after one ice storm. We also get one or two hurricane force storms every year. Some years we get almost 200 inches of rain.
