You don’t have to justify getting a cleaner . I live with a teen and husband in a 2 up 2 down and I have a cleaner. She does paint work, hoovering, kitchen and bathrooms. I pay £18.00 per hour for 2 hours fortnightly and every month she does an extra hour on alternate bedrooms. She doesn’t do laundry or ironing. There’s something about being at work all day (I’m a psychiatric nurse) and the house is clean…. She even pops a new wax melt on :)
Deffinately agree with your decision to get a cleaner. I think otherwise you’ll be spending most of your time with a duster in your hand. My home is getting too much for me, by the time I’ve cleaned upstairs, with everything in between, done downstairs it’s time to start all over again. I’m like you in needing to see everything just “right” , but now discovering life is too short to spend it forever cleaning. My husband is absolutely no help either in keeping the house liveable 😤😁

Omg get you with the cleaning…I had to sell our large 4 bed 3 floored, 3 bathrooms house, as was taking took much time cleaning especially with a family and a dog and working full time, I cannot relax until all the pots and washing away. 😮
Hi Freya, we have a cleaner every week as I’m no longer well enough to do it, but through out my working life with 2 children I had cleaners so when it was weekend I could spend time with children not cleaning the house. You work very hard Freya and you live in a very big house, I would certainly get a cleaner to do the things you don’t have time for it will free your mind. I don’t function well if our home isn’t clean and tidy. Great video as always thanks xx

Freya,your little cupboard with no handles currently, you could put those push magnet closures, wouldn't need a handle then, and would blend in, like a secret cupboard. :) xx

I just have mine now in the bathroom and keep our beloved furries out then open the window to let out the smell before I open the door! Just thought I’d pass it on xx
yes always air the spaces - it's to do with allergies I believe especially with some essential oils but thankfully he doesn't react :) I would never burn on his level either or in a small enclosed space with him in it
A cleaner is a fab idea, and something I might consider … when we moved house a year ago I said I’d need help from the other half, as there are 3 bathrooms and a downstairs loo … no help has been forthcoming!! On top of working full time and doing all the cooking and general cleaning and looking after the house and the family, I agree there’s no time left for those deep cleaning tasks that need doing! Xx
Hi Freya, the glass pumpkin is beautiful and it would look fabulous with fairy lights. Also I really liked the pretty leafy thingy. I do like a good mooch around Poundland. I am so jealous you are going to the opening of Bath and Body Works, it is my totally favourite place when I visit America, I am never out of the place and I especially love the buy three get three free, my bag coming back from Florida was a tad overweight as it was full of their body stuff. I wish they would open one in Glasgow, anyway I hope you had a wonderful time at the opening and got some fab stuff. Oh and the picnic basket is amazing. x
I think if you can afford it get a cleaner at least once a month for a deep clean, just knowing skirting boards etc will get done will releave pressure. I love Planner & Stowe products, I’m a planner/stationery nerd. You can print on your label maker and stick to page flags or get pens that write on them
I would leave all seasonal things -cups etc in your store room in the “autumn box” just because you have the space doesn’t mean you have to fill things up. It very easily could be cluttered.
Ooow Freya your kitchen looks beautiful love the tree, gyp, and mirror especially. ( the clip at the beginning when you was on your Laptop) . Your natural looking make-up looked gorgeous on you. I liked the Khaki jacket on Poundland . I like the Foxes biscuits also the gold ones thou. I love dunking them in my tea . I think you need to go to Homescense , as I did today near my and saw wooden Vegetable crates and on them written Borough Market vegetables on the side of them . I always enjoy your vlogs Freya . I used to live alone in a Victorian terrace and used to have a weekly cleaner.. she’d alternative an upstairs deep clean with a downstairs deep clean each week. With both kitchen & bathroom weekly.. I used to love getting home from work on clean Thursday.. the clean fresh smell was heaven to me, which meant I got to enjoy my weekends rather than cleaning all the time.. I’m all for making life easier to enjoy the fun stuff if cleaning isn’t fun to you... x

With the kitchen Aid I have had mine several years, and found it very difficult to move for cleaning work the top so I bought the small roller stick ons from Temu bought two packs as the mixer required five found them very good for the money Now it's easy to move to 😅 side for cleaning behind and bringing forward to use Yesterday made my own lemon ginger I froze in ice cubes so a shot a day ! Can I ask what is the washing up liquid you used washing the vase out? The green jacket for me! X

You "influenced "me to go leisure shopping which I have not done in years, slowly perusing the isles in the Range and others. Hanging the step ladders on the wall would keep your floor free in the pantry. You have a large kitchen so it looks balanced with large items, anything floor standing and flowers in vases, go big.. btw zoflora diffuser is just ok, I agree with you the candle is awful in appearance. Great idea to get cleaners in, you can only do so much, bet Mrs Hinch has hired help.
Freya, you need to stop buying things set a goal to sort one cupboard a day. I think you are overwhelmed and that’s why you just tinker with things and not achieve things. I know you are an influencer but you are more focused on how things look on the outside, not a good path to go down.
Love your coffee larder - I think I might put the “seasonal” mugs in two pull down baskets - so you don’t see them all the time - tad messy for my OCD 🤣🤣🤣 but adore how much space your going to have - you might want to style it up and just have the fab ones on show and out the other mugs in the cupboard next to this one - can you remind me where you got those lovely small expresso type handleless mugs from - please (it’s the ones in front of the mug you just got out
Do you find that walking Barney on a morning tires him out for the rest of the day? With ours it's like he regenerates by the evening and needs another one haha
oh no I walk him twice a day although the afternoon one (before his dinner) he is more subdued and doesn't need as long. I try and do an hour in the morning and 30-45 mins (sometimes longer though) in the afternoon.
watched your fab blog on my tv and you have a very beautiful home plus your such a hood home maker plus love your dog.your blogs which i watch on my tv as easier for my one eye sight.each fab blog inspiring ,fab,interesting,plus yummy food ect but so wish i could smell all scents ect that one cannot smell through my tv.thankyou for each fab blog as appreciate every one.😊

For cleaning large spaces you split jobs up into daily, 2 weeks and once a month write a list of essential jobs and these become your daily jobs then split othrs into every other week and so on deep cleaning one room a time can be done monthly please don't feel intimidated by a larger house you could get some one in to do some of these xoxo

I bought one once and had to take it back because the stairs were too deep! They have been cleared up now and hopefully it will stay that way!

If you want a clean look for that little cupboard, you could get the mechanism where you press the door and it opens. But those bolts are gorgeous!

Do you find that walking Barney on a morning tires him out for the rest of the day? With ours it's like he regenerates by the evening and needs another one haha
oh no I walk him twice a day although the afternoon one (before his dinner) he is more subdued and doesn't need as long. I try and do an hour in the morning and 30-45 mins (sometimes longer though) in the afternoon.

For cleaning large spaces you split jobs up into daily, 2 weeks and once a month write a list of essential jobs and these become your daily jobs then split othrs into every other week and so on deep cleaning one room a time can be done monthly please don't feel intimidated by a larger house you could get some one in to do some of these xoxo

Your going have to have three hour clean once industrial clean has been done going cost you alot of money because its four floors most cleaners charges are 22 pound a hour or more depends in area of uk you are
Please consider environmentally friendly cleaning products! Better for you and Barney too! Ditch the Flora even if it does smell good!
