Good tip for your new ovens is to get some oven liners , aldi usually sell them , they just sit on the bottom of your oven and you can wash them whenever ❤

Large reusable baking sheet cut to size works really well too, it’s been a godsend to keep the bottom of my oven clean
Everything i get new as to be washed before I put anything away even though its new...it's been on shelving..just me xx

I have to give you this tip! When you are taking labels off heat the label for a few seconds with a hairdryer, it warms up the glue and means they come off soooo easily! It will save your nails! X

Love the kitchen. Tip: as you clean each cupboard remove packaging, wash the items & pack them that way it will be quicker to organise as dirty & cleaned items won't be mixed up! Love your channel all the way from South Africa xx
I love the ornate coving in your living room - it looks spectacular against the black walls and the room will be so cosy when it's styled up with lights etc. The kitchen is amazing - I remember so well the excitement of finding things I've bought when we've been renovating (I've bought a fair bit in our 50 odd year marriage 🤣) Looking forward to more updates still to come 🙂

Hi Freya gorgeous kitchen. I would take the shelf out of the bottom tray which you have foil on as that will get the grease or you can take it out and wash every time you use ❤ xx
The kitchen looks lovely, but you are driving me crazy cleaning cupboards putting a real mix if things in each cupboard to only have to it all again. You already put baking tins in a drawer only to put some tins a cupboard. Personally I think you should not buy anything else until all the kitchen done and tidy. X

Get the oven liner from Lakeland they're awesome you cut it to the size of the oven and leave it there, easy to remove and wipe it's an oven staple!

Hi freya, your kitchen is amazing very bright and airy. Love the living room aswel. Your nearly there now were you can chill out and relax. Few tips for you that might help. Have you thought about buying oven liners which are easy to take out clean and put bk in again & also your sticky labels on your new goods like your dishes ect use a little bit of essential oil on your labels leave it on for about half an hour to an hour and it will lift off. Someone recommended it to me and it actually worked, have a lovely week 😀

A tip, I put tin foil on the bottom of the oven like a liner, rather than the trays, I remove the trays I’m not using and then the wire racking isn’t getting dirty, line the bottom of the oven with industrial foil and change it weekly x

would definitely recommend the trays , chopping boards, serving dishes etc standing file style, not stacked on top of each other! in a pan holders etc or I have ikea peg boards that’s black and adjustable in drawers and plate holders in cupboards ! I’m doing my kitchen refurb and Love using more drawers than cupboards Been a game changer for me x (I’m too old to bend and reach 😅😂😂 looking forward to seeing the organisation ❤❤

What you call coving we call crown molding here in America. MaCenna here on YT renovated her 1920s house all on her own...with the help of her BF and Mom and Dad. She also did all the crown molding herself and said it was so hard to get all the measurements correct. And she said she would hire a tradesman to do it if she ever wanted it again. It's definitely a specialty when it comes to carpentry. Your black room looks beautiful and so excited to see you decorate it. The kitchen is spectacular...the whole area is all open and feels so grand. You two did a great job designing it all 💜💙💚💛🧡

Just a little thought 💭 have you seen the Brabantia Bo touch bin on legs 36L they do it in black , white , and a few other colours .
They are so EASY to empty with there Brabantia bin liners draw string and I find I’m only using one a week . It keeps clean and doesn’t look like a bin so to speak I could highly recommend it .
I think in the corner near your patio doors a large olive tree in a pot wud look fab x

Loving all your organisation, remember it well when our DIY kitchen was completed. Noticed that you don't have filled in sides on your deep drawers these are available. Stops linens & trays fallinh out. I'm getting excited all over again watching you. Stunning enjoy❤

Hiya Freya, tip for you, when you are taking stickers of anything new, use your Hairdryer to warm it and it comes off easier. Saves you soaking it. Just a couple of seconds to warm the glue and you won't crack your pottery xxx

Loving the black room..cant do that in caribbean ..it will hild in heat and attract mosquitoes ..in the middle of renos now ..finished all the inside painting outside so my love of black is going there dark greyhouse window still lighter shade of grey ..windows doors dark semi gloss black ❤❤
Love the foil idea but we use oven silicone Mats which make life so much easier and are more cost effective x

You could get oven sheets that go in the bottom, they catch the mess and can be taken out to be washed
I have shutters at my house, ours is a Horton stone house in Oxfordshire and they look amazingly gorgeous…they are on another level 🥹🥰

You are so excited for decorating your new home. Its a pity the extension design is very Americanised when its such a beautiful old english property. I follow a few UA-camrs/ influencers from the US and your kitchen etc is like a carbon copy of their homes. Its beautiful but it would have been amazing if it was in the period of the property. When you are buying for a home or an upcoming reno or revamp its always a good idea to keep an inventory of your purchases so no duplicates occur. Easier said than done i know but it helps keep costs down. Just a tip, you were saying you were going to do panelling down the stairs and along the hall wall. It really makes rooms feel alot smaller and as that area is quite tight in size it might not look as good. TFS 🤗

You so need a Thermomix - it’s amazing will do blending, making soups, cooking mash, baking, grating - basically everything - and will fit in the corner of your pantry - it’s a big outlay but so worth it

You can't always use this product on plastics, wood etc, it can damage the surface, great on glass though.
