Scootering Italy - Amalfi Coast and Naples - Is it Safe?

The internet says diving a scooter along the Amalfi Coast is dangerous, but is it? Only one way to find out...
We rented scooters in Salerno, Italty and drove along the Amalfi Coast, then up to Naples, and back. We stopped in Maiori, Positano, Sorrento, and Herculaneum along the way.
