Wow, Korean specs all have the hidden assist handle, unique seeing one without 😮
First, I am a HUGE fan! I watch your videos nearly every day at the dealership to study up and what's coming next for the US market. Thanks for watching, it truly means a ton!
But yes, over here it's Calligraphy and XRT only! Strange, indeed.
This interior is more nicer than most luxury cars of 2024
Hyundai has been doing a lot of that lately.
I love how the second tier car manufacturers work overtime to deliver elevated and very well thought out designs
Hyundai is rapidly trying to change the "Second Tier" status. A lot of our upper trim levels compete with luxury models.
hey its a beautiful vehicle @@CadenRobbins
What's second tier, Hyundai has some of the best designs, engineering and tech' in the industry. It's a leader in the automotive industry and has one many awards for design, etc. And Hyundai QUALITY is better than Toyota, better than Honda, better than all the Japanese brands, because Hyunda makes their own steel for their vehicle's. Instead of shooting your mouth off with second tier, you should educate yourself about all that Hyundai manufactures, and it's not just car's, SUV's and EV's!
I can’t imagine how nice the next palisade is going to be after seeing this!
Agreed! Don't get me wrong, the Palisade still holds it's own. But I can't wait.
Great look at the new Santa Fe. Can't wait to get behind the wheel of one for myself!
I'm excited for you!
Thanks for the great review.
This 2024 is modern and fresh. Hyundai did a great job, especially for those who want a third road and storage space. This will do well with families and folks who do road trips. My first car was a 1989 Hyundai Excel.....so they have def come a long way.
Personally, I just purchased a new 2023 Calligraphy as I do not need a third row and not a fan of the whole off-road look.
My 2023 has all the lux and tech that i need for years to come. This is going to sell well and I am looking forward to seeing it at our Local Auto Show.
Congrats on the Channel. Looking forward on seeing it grow.
Thank you very much for the kind words! I still love the outgoing model, and you got one with the 2.5T!! That's truly where the fun is at. I hope you enjoy your car for many years to come! :)
great video, looking forward to the XRT video!
Oh, I cannot WAIT!!!
Really like it. More than the top trim needs to offer captain chairs.
I agree! Really thought the Limited would have an option, at least, like the Palisade does with Limited + SEL Premium + XRT. Just adds to the differences between the two!
Love it!! Waiting on the hybrid then for all the reviews and then hopefully lower interest rates.
The hybrid will be available in either FWD or AWD this go-round! Pricing is a small bump from the ICE version, too, and it'll be offered in the Calligraphy trim. So glad ya like the car!
I spoke to a Hyundai rep about this vehicle, he actually recommended it to me over the Palisade. Thanks for the video!
@@CadenRobbins forgot to ask, the pin striping on this, is it painted or sticker and will it be available upon purchase?
It's a very high quality decal. It usually is already applied but can be removed or applies to one without!@@stephsjamn
@@CadenRobbins love it but would rather have it painted sticker will eventually start coming off. This vehicle shown is exactly what I want in a hybrid but need a comparison to the Calligraphy. Thanks again!
Great review brother!!
Cool car but I've read the DCT transmission often makes vibrations at low speed and that it is has reliability issues. Car & Driver ran a long-term test on a Hyundai with it and had a number of problems and may have had to replace the transmission. Your thoughts?
The DCT is going to be a little bit more maintenance than a traditional automatic, I will agree there. However, it's instant torque and overall sporty feel is worth the extra care! That is just my opinion. Most people drive a DCT like they would a CVT or traditional automatic. I haven't had any issues with DCTs from my customers personally, but I have read those reports! I'm sorry that I don't have more stories to share.
I have a 22 Calligraphy and so the far tranny been great. Glad to see they carried over the 2.5T, so they will get to better understand it going forward. I’m hoping they will learn how to better service it for any future hiccups.
I agree with the others. I have had no issues with my trans. The quick shifts really give it a sporty feel and makes it fun to drive. I have read the stories and just hoping Hyundai has figured it out to avoid any future issues.
Only the calligraphy has 2 wireless charger pads... It's just rubber square on all the others.. haha
I'm glad you caught me there! You are right. This trim only has one pad, the other is a nice little square lol.
Cool looking Santa Fe. Nice pin striping with the Hyundai logo. Dealer installed?
It is dealer installed! It's something we do on all of our new Hyundai models - minus the Night Editions. 😏
It is a beauty for sure. I don’t see an online configurator for the SF Calligraphy edition.
Calligraphy models are just now about to enter production! As of this morning, I have one ICE model and one hybrid model due around April.
Has the ride changed in the 2024 Santa Fe? I drove the 2023 Calligraphy and found it to have a harsh stiff ride for me. Has that changed in the 2024 model?
Yes, the longer wheelbase definitely makes the suspension a bit softer. I drove the XRT model today and that one was really, really comfy with the added ground clearance! You will probably love the new Santa Fe.
Ty for the video. Waiting for the hybrid. What color exterior is it by chance?
The one I reviewed above is called Shimmering Silver! It's the gray leather interior. Thanks for watching!
Is there no second row climate controls? I’ve watched so many 2024 Santa Fe videos and I can’t seem to find the second row climate controls, only the third row controls.
Nope, looks like 2nd row is controlled by the front. That's a pretty huge downer IMO.
The Limited did not have second row climate control. I also thought this was a little strange! The Palisade, however, does offer rear climate control.
Could this be the best SUV on the road?
The rear could be the best design I've seen.
Silver is the best color.
Should've been dual exhaust, my only displeasure.
It's about time hyundai has power side mirrors. It blows my mind the other models don't. I assume all newer models will have power side mirrors.
I'm in love with it. I knew it was going to be great, but still my expectations were blown out the water.
It is a reinterpretation of the 1990 Hyundai galloper.
You have to knew it.
Can you do test on base hundai santa fe and how much there are and when are you getting base models in dealer
We have an SE arriving next week. I’ll make a video on it and the XRT!
Great video, thank you!! I'm very interested in the calligraphy trim here in California. Do you know if the Santa Fe will be available with blacked out chrome?
The Calligraphy trim has blacked out accents! Grill, wheels, trim, etc.
@@CadenRobbins ooooh, sweet. That blacked out chrome look is so clean. I kinda like the all black look. Thank you!
Not a problem! Calligraphy models should start being built in May. @@misterronb
Is that the hybrid or plug in hybrid ? i saw the plug in and hybrid in korea. normally it takes a year for u.s. to get it after korea. that's what happened to my kia sportage hybrid. i saw it in korea in 2022 then in 2023 it came to the u.s
I think only Hybrid. They discontinued the PHEv for the Santa Fe. From I've seen.
This is the ICE model.
Correct! There will not be a plug-in model for 2024. @@alwayshungry808
Defender from front. Honda odyssey from back.
I am not buying only for the tail lights. This could have been the Telluride killer.
The tail lights are the most controversial part, I see! The Santa Fe is competing with the Sorento! The Palisade is the Telluride killer. They're all Hyundai products at the end of the day.
Is the cup holder Stanley Cup friendly too ?
It is!
Does this have parallel self park from inside the car, where you let go of the steering wheel, and use just the brakes.
It does not, at least to my knowledge. The IONIQ 6 is the first Hyundai to test that tech.
Like it already (No dual exhaust? The backlights are far too low). Now, I can drive another Hyundai product.
Man, dual exhaust would have been so cool. Imagine an N-Line Santa Fe! Happy to see you return to Hyundai.
What models have the available power tilt and telescoping steering wheel?
From what I've gathered, that will be a Calligraphy (ICE and hybrid) exclusive feature.
@@CadenRobbins thank you for the info 👍
Lets hope the dct last longer than 30 miles.
You're right about the rear tail light cluster, all that real estate and they put them so low down! Major safety visibility issue for me. PASS!
That is a nice looking SUV. Wish it was electric
There is a hybrid model! Otherwise, stay tuned for the Hyundai IONIQ 7.
Does the calligraphy have captain seats?
Yes! It is the only trim to include captain seats.
What are all the paint colors available?
There's quite a few! Off the top of my head, I know we have a bronze matte, silver, white, black, green, and a dark gray. There's probably a few more. Hyundai should be updating their website very soon!
Why not? Dual exhaust?
🤷🏻♂ Good question!
I want calligraphy black on black😊
Those black wheels
@CadenRobbins yes sir
but I going put my on black rims on truck
Are they reliable ? I was planning to buy an Toyota highlander
The 2.5T is a great powertrain. You should have no issues. Even if you do, America's Best Warranty has your back.
is that gray or silver
Shimmering Silver!
@@CadenRobbins nice 👌
Where exactly are you located?
Shreveport, Louisiana!
ONE wireless charger pad. Two Spaces, only the Drivers is a Charger.
You are correct! I apologize for the mistake. Calligraphy has dual chargers.
Looks great, but perhaps it’s not here in Pakistan.
That's a bummer! Hopefully they bring it to y'all ASAP.
what color is the interior?
This interior color is the gray leather!
Does the santa fe have the walk away auto lock?
I'm not 100% positive on that, but I do know the mirrors unfold as you approach and fold as you depart. There is also a new lock button on the power rear gate that locks all of the doors and closes the gate.
Santa Fe>palisade
I'm really starting to agree. I just prefer the off-road look and the interior!!
Gotta say, 2024 goes to the Kia Sorento.
Ugh...Pinstriping!!!! Stop that, dealerships.
I agree... Don't tell my boss. 🤫
Which colour is this?, typhoon silver or cyber sage?
What the heck are Hyundai doing, They appear to be going backwards in design appearance ! Boxy looking like the old style cars from years gone by. They were leading in design and technology and I feel they are really downgrading their designs ! I own a 2021 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy and if this is the way they are going with their designs it will be my last Hyundai . Come on Hyundai you have done better and can do better.
Who wants that much cargo. Looks is way more important than cargo.
Right! I hate the rear end so much
Those taillights will be the first to go in a minor rear end collision.
I think it nailed both! However, this vehicle isn't for everyone.
Just another boxy vehicle, nothing distinctive about it. What happened to the stylish Santa Fe. With the added size it is now seriously underpowered.
The 2.5T is still PLENTY of power for this beast. Paired with the DCT, it truly feels incredible.
Shit TV in front of my Steering Wheel, that should be nice? Looks ugly and cheap to me.
Its hideous.
worst hyundai car ever .. god knows why this guy is saying "best looking". bad review.
Different strokes for different folks! I'm a huge fan of the boxy, rugged look and think it truly is one of Hyundai's best. Definitely up there with the IONIQ 5 and 6!
Wow 😂 this is how another garbage from Hyundai looks like. This brand is absolute garbage.
Did Santa Fe break your heart? It didn't mean to. ☹️
@@CadenRobbinswe have few in our shop all with premature repairs. Absolute garbage, middle class or poor people should avoid this brand all together. Hyundai is a rich people brand, the sky is the limit for repair costs.
that car looks like what someone from the 70's thought a car from the 2000's would look like. absolutely ugly
