Abandon her forever, block her number, peel home, throw her suitcase in the trunk, put her key, money for her half of all the bills through to one more month and a quick goodbye note on the kitchen table, take off in the car and just be gone. Even if it took her 4 hours to get home, Amber would finally be on the path to handling her self on her own. She WOULD figure it out. It’s about necessity.

When my husky rescue was 5 months old she fell down my stairs and was screaming. I had on a pink Tshirt from middle school coffee and booger stains because I had been crying all night the night before, and my undies, ran bra less down stairs, put on a random pair of dirty shorts and no shoes, and drove so fast to the vet. I didnt even grab my bag just a wad of emergency money so like $3k crumpled in my pocket. I didn't brush my teeth, hair, nothing I busted into their door sobbing like a mad woman carrying her and she was shaking. I was disheveled as hell. Boobies flying in the wind, smelling like old coffee and depression.
She had torn a deep tissue muscle. They gave her pain relief pills and anti inflammatory pills.
I can't imagine for a minute my dog needing an emergency vet and me being like, oh golly gee I need to shower first. 🙄🤦🏽♀️

one of the things I had to do in order to really feel independent with my new life is learning how to grocery shop by myself in my wheelchair. Amber will soon learn how good it feels to be able to shop alone again.
She's literally never shopped alone or done anything alone - Literally nothing. She's never gone to appointments alone, made her own way to the vet to get the pets cared for... Popped to the shops by herself because she's needed something... She has always been chauffeur driven and chaperoned - It's wild.

Same here. I have a disability that prohibits me from driving and I've never lived close enough to a grocery store to be able to get myself there by walking. Now I do live in walking distance from a grocery store, and I feel so much more independent being able to get there and go shopping on my own. She really needs to figure out a way, like Uber or paratransit or something. It would be a confidence boost for her to be independent in that way
@@shelbyj1433 I sometimes wonder if Amber likes/wants to be helpless... Sounds weird, but, admittedly I'm no psychologist but I wonder if her need for a caretaker or a mother type figure stems from her having to be put into foster care.
She always makes her girlfriends double up as care givers (which is basically what a mother does for a child 24/7) and like Amber wants her girlfriends to drive her everywhere, she wants them to go with her to every appointment, even when they go to the vet - it's the girlfriends (or the "parents") job to take the dog actually into the vet and get her needs met even though Twinkie and the cats are Ambers pets - not the partners, she wants her girlfriends to "tell" her to go to the doctors like mothers do for their children.... Or tell her not to eat junk food and encourage her to eat healthy just like a mother does for a child... But she's 32 she should be doing all of these things for herself!!
I have always fond it really creepy the way she makes her girlfriends like pseudo parental figures with how she expects them to treat her. She expects every girlfriend to help her lose weight, which yes, you want your partner to be supportive but a person should never like... "expect" someone else to make their lives revolve around their partners weight loss which is what Amber does and to do everything for her. I wonder if it's a way for her to be or have the child parent relationship she feels she missed out on (even though by all accounts she had a really loving foster mother) Maybe she is just trying to make every GF be the parent she thinks she deserves as even though it sounds like her foster mum loved her and treated her well, Amber still threw her under the bus every chance she got - making it sound like her foster home was something out of a Charles Dickens novel when they lady took her to Disney land and treated her like one of her own it seems.

@@AngryLittleSponge yes, Amber has said herself that she has always relied on people and it is because of her history with foster care wherein she was always relying on different people to care for and house her. She definitely has some early childhood trauma that has led her to being very dependent on other people and she is likely stunted emotionally because of the neglect/abuse she faced as a young girl. It's sad but she has resources that other people in her exact situation will never have access to and literally dream about obtaining. It's up to her now.

Their have been a few people on my 600lb life who have actual jobs and live alone. UA-cam has wiped all the free episodes off but I remember an African American woman who had a full time job and had a 5 year old daughter with asthma. She also had a car so took herself to work. The way she uses those on my 600lb life to power level is kinda disgusting. At least those people were honest and vulnerable enough to go forward and ask for help. Of course the show is exaggerated at times but no more exaggerated than Amber trying to convince us that her huge weight gain is just lymphoedema. She’s been eating 4000+ calories a day consistently for years now
