I miss going to shows like this, I never go anymore like I used to. I saw these guys at the Masquerade in Ybor City back in late 1998. They were headlining with Catch 22 and Avail in support. The space was just about as big as the one in the video here. There was no more than 100 people there, but everybody left bleeding and absolutely exhausted. It was by far the smallest show I've ever been to, but it was the most rowdy show I've ever been to. The tickets were like $12. Fuck I miss those days, some of the happiest moments in my life.
You lame lazy fker..lol..im 50 years old and still hang out at these crazy show......but dont forget...you need drugs ..no drugs ..dont bother going...
thanks for putting this on! awesome band! is destruction by definition out of print on cd? have really old copy and have it downloaded but can't find a new copy on cd
I listened to "Destruction By Definition" and "Battle Hymns" on a regular basis all through middle school and my freshman year of high school (99-00). I only got to see them twice (DBD and BH tours), and I actually just found the DBD shirt I bought at that show; the shirt i bought on the BH tour was awful quality, the neck was all stretched out and loose, and the hem at the bottom of the shirt came completely undone, I probably tossed it out (unfortunately)
Derek was an early drummer and Jay is original. Rich has been in the band since Royce left in 2002 and Justin since they started playing again in 2009.
+72phinatic i don't know wich album was better during the mid 90s... but you have hoss from lagwagon, about time from pennywise, stranger than fiction from bad religion, built to last from sick of it all, punk in drublic from nofx, life on a plate from millencolin, and this one....
@@blindspectator1882 this is what happens when you rehearse with the CD and then don't get to practice enough with the full band before the concerts. @@jmps8073 Yes Derek Grant played drums and sang like all the backing vocals for the two week Destruction by Definition tour in April of 2015. It was his first time playing with the band live since 1997, I believe. He also played all the keyboards on the album so it's cool to hear them incorporated here, even if I can't tell who is playing them live.
this is awesome! when was it? years ago in the early 2000s my buddy and i went to see them in tijuana, when we got there someone announced they broke up. didn't get a chance to see them live. this brings me back! thanks!

I remember my buddy in high used to listen to it a lot, he's the one who introduced me to these guys. Saw them in Marquette, MI in the mid 2000s.
Not that anyone cares, but i started just like Navarro, shaved head. rocking dreads today. most underrated punk/ska band these guys have been playing out of my ghetto box while sk8ing since '96
I'ma Hard Rock / Metal dude. But I found out about the Suicide machines back in 1996...so had to go back and buy all their previous efforts and everything after. They reinforced my love for music around that time. From 97-2003 I saw them live about 7 times, including meeting them at a Vans Warped Tour show. Fun times :)
This is my favorite band to see live. First saw them in 1996 in Santa Barbara and last saw them in 2016, also in Santa Barbara. I’ve also seen them many other times here in California, plus, I got to see them in Cleveland and Chicago about a decade ago. Every single time, their shows go off. I always gotta be in the front singing (screaming) along.
Leandro F Always been my favorite drummer... His style is definitely his own and nobody plays like him.. They're just a fantastic band all together.. Rock on man..
