- Bought this Honda Recon 250 for $300 a few days ago. The engine has low compression and the story told indicated that the top end was rebuilt, It's last owner got it on trade for some labor performed. He indicated that he checked the leak back and found the valves to be sealing. Upon disassembly, it was found that the top end was not rebuilt, though, the gaskets appeared to be new. The cylinder bore was rust pitted and the rings were completely worn out and seized.

This vid reminded me, my 2 minibikes have low compression, my weedtrimmer too. I better order the parts asap. Supply chain on the east coast is breaking down fast.
Great vid as usual HS. Please beep beep the hoard from my vt hoard. 👊🤓👍
Run the three stone hone through it. Add new rings and make it sing! Its a Honda, itll love it!😁
✌️😁🍩
Ive bought a few of these not running. Got them running and they always end up having a bad rod, small end where wrist pin goes is always oblonged.... I no longer buy fix and sell them unless I got them in a package deal or something. Just ended up with one that way. Bought a prarie 360 and got one thrown in, but apart. Engines mostly complete but not bolted down in the frame, plastics all off, racks, etc. I didnt want it but it came with the prarie. At some point ill mess with it.
I’m looking for a Kawasaki Lakota rear bearing carrier, I saw your older videos with lakota s. Wondering if you have any used ones around?
I sent ya my email last week. Send me your shipping address, I'll send ya the parts and you can rebuild it in an upcoming video
Awesome
