Sonic Free Riders: All Special Attacks

- Okay, I know I said I wouldn't be posting Free Riders videos for a while, but I just came across this very amusing piece of info that I doubt anyone even came across before the Kinect Patch lol.
So apparently within the game lies this niche powerup that functions similarly to the attack item box in Zero Gravity: If you're trailing behind in a race, the box will send you into a sort of super-state where your boost speed is higher and you're able to attack your opponents.
Only problem is that this powerup is way more picky on when it wants to show up than ZG's version ever was (and there's also no gear that automatically activates it in FRiders), so it was only very recently that people suddenly started encountering this secret attack in the middle of the race.
Well, out of the goodness of my own heart (but mostly because I'm more than slightly insane) I decided to compile all the attacks together so you may watch them in awe. I even managed to get some hits in with a few characters, though I don't think the effect is different between characters like ZG's system so whatever.

If the NKP modders are going to bring tweaks to this game, I would really like the S Power Up to be used as a Boost just like in Riders and as they did in Regravitified.
That would be dope as hell
Rei-San himself probably won't, but ExGL might.
This, adding drifting back by backporting it from Auto-Slider like they did from Wheels in RG and just increasing the general sense of speed/flow of the game.
In all my years of playing it, I never knew this was a thing.
This video is gonna be valuable, because some animations are really unique that isn't seen anywhere else. Now I'm really wanting 100 ring capsule montage.
Also Cream is cutest thing ever with her adorable animation.

I remember a glimpse of me and my cousin playing and he was shadow and some how he did chaos control i was so stoked because it never happened again

I am glad someone FINALLY posted a video about this! I knew this was a thing for so long since I have played it because I had a bad kinect and saw it with sonic one time. I wanted to know if anyone else had seen this and nobody knew!

My ideas for improving the Power-Type Special attacks:
Knuckles: Swings his fists
Storm: Claps at his opponents to trap them in a tornado
Vector: Unleashes his singing breath at an opponent

I don't really enjoy how the Power characters all have the same ability instead of unique powers to themselves.
I’ve played Sonic Free Riders for years and I believe that the reason why it so hard to get it’s only used for dire needs
I feel like some of these only actually do something if you ram into another racer.
Well maybe people would’ve discovered this years ago if the game didn’t force you to use a Kinect!

Why does it say “No Kinect patch”?
What?! Do I hear Jason Griffith in the special attacks?! Why?! I thought we were through with him! Not only that, but other characters have their original riders voices! Am I the only one seeing this?!
This is a late reply... You've probably already found this out but he's using a mod that brings back the 4kids era voice cast to the game.

Yeah it was in all the riders games, it's basically the star of sonic racing games because you have to be near last place to get it

Well.
Boost was a main mechanic in Riders. Instead you have Invincibility as a last place power up.
Zero Gravity had at least other means of performing boost such as Big Bang and the Angel extreme gears.
Free Riders seems to have it only as a item power up.

@@gokublack9724 I never said anything like that. I was just pointing out that Boost is a basic feature in Riders and Boost is achievable in Zero Gravity without the need of being in the last place.
And Sega continues to be 💩 after their best selling game, Sonic Generations.
