I beg you, Please do an episode on collimation. I just ordered mine yesterday. Will be shooting with the ASI2600 and the Optolong 3nm Narrow Band Filters. I live on an Island in the South Pacific. I can promise you when it arrives it will be out and Ill be tinkering for weeks trying to teach myself how to get it dialed in. Thanks in advance.
Hi, just received mine. During room test I saw that focuser protrudes into the tube. Not much but still. I hope I will experience no nasty star shapes. What are your thoughts on that? Alnitak on your test image seems ok.
I was so excited when I heard the announcement of this scope. I have an ASI183MM Pro, so this is a perfect match for that and my 3nm. Does the secondary mirror have black edges? Should I black them out myself if not? And would this scope benefit from additional flocking in the tube? The shop emailed me yesterday and told me my scope is on its way, can’t wait for this one!
I've noticed you mentioning the 12" Quattro a number of times on videos, but that's not in the Sky-Watcher lineup on the web site. There's a BKP 300 DS, but that's not f/4 1200mm, it is f/5 1500. Is the f/4 1200mm no longer available?
It remains unclear : which kind of focuser ? With guiding rail or not ? I found both on retailers shop... Moreover, I found x1 corrector and x0.85 corrector in packages.
You're absolutely right, it seems to depend on the retailer. IMO stay away from the PDS focuser, that's the one without the rail. It tilts when the focusing lockscrew is tightened.
If you have a question, you should email support@skywatcherusa.com. However, Given the GEM28's payload capacity and the Quattro 150s weight, it should be fine.
I've had a CG-4 for 10 years... really thinking about one of these. Lot of bang for buck!

It's in the pipeline!
Ordered mine on June 27th. Hoping it ships soon!!
I have seen retailers stock these with the Linear Rail Focuser installed.
the coma corrector backfocus is?

This would go perfectly with my SkyMax 150.

The secondary should already be black so you shouldn’t have to mess with anything. Happy imaging!
is this scope good for visual too?

Hey Pete, we only speak on Sky-Watcher USA products as that is who runs this page. Sky-Watcher International is a separate entity.
@@SkyWatcherUSA Oh! I had no idea. That's a bit confusing. I'm surprised the global one doesn't do a region check or something and prompt you. Thanks
@@Psychlist1972 yeah we're in the long process of trying to thread things together globally a little better. Cheers
Good video, appreciate you guys. Does the focuser use compression rings for adapters and such?
Thanks! It does not, just thumb screws.

11:1, dual-speed, 2-inch Crayford-style focuser. A guidescope would thread on to the tube rings.

Hi. Coma corrector accepts 2 inch filters?
Indeed
1 Year later but maybe somebody will see this🤣 You think a Gem28 mount can handle the Quattro 150?

We'd recommend using an HEQ5, however.
