I do believe Comic isn't a reverse Rylai because with Rylai you do utility for your team and with cosmic you do utility for only yourself. But sure cdr for more E's does feel decent.
Swain heals with his maximum health when he collects fragments, by level 11 it's 5% max health for every fragment he collects. Every champ he hits with an E or W collects fragments, so, hit spells in a team fight and you are healing a lot. Also... free stats. Health without resists isn't optimal but it's still good. Plenty of spells (and autos) don't scale vs max health.
I'd trade anytime the current multiple demon flares for one flare only while having the old healing... Hate how the champion that is meant to be in the middle of the tf can't keep 2 people distracted for a reasonable amount of time
It’s a situational item. You usually go it, when you get speed from somewhere else, like zilean, but you need to be able to know, that you can rely on that zilean player.
@@amaterasu3609 it actually works really well on Swain its just that a lot of items work really well on swain so. I am of the opinion that half the skill for swain is identifying the right build path for each game (unending, liandrys, void staff, zhonyas, raba, etc..). Torch & cosmic are core though
riftmaker isnt bad item on new swain, it gives haste ap and hp everything reworked swain needs, just other items outclass it, riftmaker is more of a "for fun" item, if you are turbo ahead build it
The only reason Swain is good right now is that the numbers on his q are overtuned. Swain as a whole feels less interesting and less cohesive. Q is just a crutch right now.
Blackfire seems so bad first but its the only good mana option item. But i considered that you can go Fimbulwinter Liamdrys into Rylais. Bcs you want to scale anyways with Swain.
If you're planning on fimbulwinter you'd prefer going Tear > Rylai > FW so you can more easily guarantee hitting your E, otherwise FW value is pretty low

As a Swain main I can say he is a top laner to punish tanks. Swain is not a mage anymore, just buy Liandrys and Zhonyas . That's the core build, after that you can build whatever you want (tank items, mage items) . @14:00 see? He got oneshoted, you want to be tanky on swain, he is not a Hwei.
swains W will feel like the worst spell in the game if the rest of his kit feels bad. Pre changes, this was true. a lot of swain players have complained about this ability for a long time. But now after changes, and the buffs, it feels really good again, because every thing else works.
as a swain otp, im sad with this garbage rework, passive still garbage, W and E still unhittable vs any syndra or other orianna, R even worse than it was before, i was hoping for whole midscope, not E2 is faster and multiple demonflairs. Reksai or Taliyah got all of the abilities changed

Only certain champs go Rylai in mid I feel. Swain doesn’t apply it reliably enough without being melee range, cosmic better for swain MID lane.
I've been seeing people go Rylais Fimbulwinter for a tanky cheap build. It's good if your team already has damage.

Conq's healing is alright since it's based on damage. They nerfed R's healing base value into being half of what it was basically.

Current Rift maker works on Tanks with AP scaling not Swain

The only reason Swain is kinda blinda pickable and is picable into range. He always was a good counterpick vs 3-5 melee champs. You just cant die.

you can pull just as the root ends, and the pull duration is always .25 seconds so you can extend the cc from 1.5 to 1.75~

Swain doesn’t scale. He is a mid game champ that is strongest at 2/3 items so playing for late will make you lose games
@@re_venant. Fimbulwinter doesn't proc shield on ranged anyways so it makes no difference
