    E class is highly reliable, just like a Honda or a camry. Just rountine maintenance. The reason no crappy air suspension.

      I just bought a 2011 Mercedes e350 with 226k miles on it. The car runs smooth and has been perfect so far. One thing I noticed is after I was driving for a few hours and arrived to a destination. Sometimes when I switch the gear into park after parking the engine will start revving? This doesn’t always happen, but still… if it continues then it will burn even more gas

    Hey brother I’m thinking about buying a 2010 E350 4-matic , From
    Private owner with 199K miles I just test drove it today drives really nice no leaks all highway miles , my only concern is that I hear a light knocking sound in the engine when Im outside the car and is on please give me some insight🙏🏻 he wants 7K but I offer 6K he said he will do 6,500 . and the driver side door has no power whatsoever he mentioned something about the cables running to the door from the under the dash part had gotten disconnected maybe. Never been in an accident one owner car garage kept . Please advice thanks a lot

      Mine always had a valvetrain noise, but a knocking sound could be anything. I think those engines are typically noisy, but you have to be careful. Keep in mind, I made my video like 3 years ago and values have dropped considerably. I would not pay more than $2500-$3000 for the one you describe.

    I'm looking at one 2013 MB E350 coupe with 207000 miles for $8000 at the dealer. It's fully equipped and one owner car. Both red exterior and tan interior look great and very clean. Should I buy it or not? Is it a good buy?

    • @youtoobe169
      @youtoobe169  Рік тому

      I'd say a fair price would be between $5000 and $6000 for that assuming it needs nothing. Look underneath the car thoroughly for rust issues, especially the brake lines, and use a dealer style scanner to pull all codes. Look at the complete maintenance history. You will want to have seen transmission oil changes, coolant changes, brake fluid changes, and so on per the maintenance schedule.

    • @youtoobe169

      A plastic arm that controls the intake flaps breaks off. The proper repair is to replace the manifold, but there are kits out there to fix it yourself inexpensively. Check brake line rust, but at 35K miles, make sure the car was maintained annually for best results.

      Thats right as owner said. They need sooner to be oil changed, but main thing is how much torque and hp can it handle. Old 5 speed was bulletproof, this one wouldnt handle without braking, lets say if you tune the engine, internals.
      But for normal people you have to maintain car like everything else and if you do 7g is better because its more fuel efficient. Quality comes to same if maintaining is regular

    • @youtoobe169
      @youtoobe169  5 років тому +1

      It depends. That car has the older 7G-Tronic transmission that requires more frequent service. If the car runs and drives properly, and you have a service history it should be OK. Check for oil leak at top rear of engine (not a big deal). Have the codes read with a professional code reader. If you get an 0520, you need a new intake manifold, or at the very least, pull yours off and fix the swirl flap lever. I am at 214K miles now and had to deal with both of those things. My belt tensioner is starting to get noisy too, but other than that, a great car.

      That price sounds WAY too high if it's a 2011 even in today's market. That being said, they are great cars overall. I sold mine to a friend about 3 years ago and he's been driving it ever since. He's up over 250K now. The biggest issue he had was brake lines rusted out which was a huge expense because they had to remove a lot of stuff to get to them.
