BKK RaptorX is 3X strong and not a ‘like for like’ comparison against a 4X rated treble? Ideally RaptorZ (4x) should have been used if comparing apples with apples 🤔
Geez, can't argue with the Jaw Lock for that price. Bergie says he wonders how they are made, now there's a UA-cam series I would watch! Berganator In The Mustad Factory! Or the Wilson, Yo-Zuri, etc etc. 🤣
I've found there are 2 different loads, constant load and shock load. Some hooks perform really well on shock loads (Raptor z) but will open under a constant load. Where others, like VMC, don't handle big shock loads well, but won't open under constant pressure. Chasing Black Bass, is all about being able to survive that shock-loading of the hook, but species like Barra/Kings it's all about the constant pressure.
mate you used a raptor x which is a more finesse version of the raptor z, the x model is a 3x hook and the z is a 4x. bkk make the best hooks but you have to use the right ones for the job.
Did someone mistakenly pick up the wrong BKK hook pack, X instead of Z?? Your description of the video states they are a 4X when they are a 3X. You should fix this up at least
As scientist, i hope global warming is pushing tropical fish like barra further south. So gold coasters should be stocking up on more of those 4x hooks 😊
Enjoyed that one guys 🤘 pretty cool test 👍
Thanks Mark, I enjoyed watching that. Informative, Mustad Jawlocks are on the shopping list.
Glad you enjoyed it

Love doing experiments like that
Interesting! I would like to see how BKK GT-REX will do against those guys.
Well done!
Oy , Mark , stop buggering up my boat !😂
Hahaha 🤣
Now I've had to buy some Mustard JawLok hooks !
Nice Collection Mark, Can you send them ta my place with the Boat mate 👍
Hell yeah Mark fishing science is cool

Fascinating to see
Good Job!

BKK Raptor X is a 3X wire.....this is a false test comparison..... you need to be using Raptor Z for the 4X.
Was thinking the same thing never bought or seen raptor x always raptor z
Raptor x is not 4x
Raptor z and Viper is 4 x
48 kg for 3x hook (Raptor x)is great though.

4x and 3x is different class
Bring a 3X hook to a 4X test…..Not surprised at the result. Disappointing given you have them listed on your stores website as 3X trebles as well!
Owner 4X, Mustad 4X vs BKK 3X?! LOL
When u posting that vid that u caught the flatty in ballina
Soon 🤞
