Andy, that is fabulous - the kit is designed so the maker can put an individual unique aspect to it - the metal bits are just the carrier - you have well and truly done something unique & great. I am only annoyed I didn't think of it first ! Keep up the great work - thanks for mentioning us too 👍👍

Triangular, why not!?! I think one can never have enough wooden pens, in all honesty, I am a bit jealous 😢 You should sell them, Andy, I would buy one, and I am guessing other folks would too… I would even consider buying the whole storage cupboard should you ever go to auction with it 😎👍🏻 Well, we are approaching the big 10‘000 so I am hoping for some kind of competition 😉🤪 Have a lovely weekend, Andy, take care 👋🏻😉👋🏻 Byeee, Jude
Hi Jude... Maybe one day I will sell them... the cupboard is bursting so I really should... Send me your details and I would be more than happy to send you a pen or anything else for that matter.. The 10k is approaching but quite slowly but it does give me time to think of something... You have a lovely Sunday even if the weather is miserable... Take care Jude... all the best.....Andy 👋😉👋
@@AndysCornishCreations Hi Andy! You are such a generous soul, thank you soooo much for your kind offer! I would not dare to take advantage of it though... Don't get me wrong, I would love to, but international shipping is such a hassle these days, not only costly (which of course I would gladly pay) but also document-wise, you know. It will have to wait, no problem with that. Have a lovely Sunday, Andy! Cheers, and thanks again, Jude
A very nice design Andy! I can almost feel it in my hand. I can see the possibility of doing some kind of a lamination to get various colours in the triangle (but way beyond my math skills 😅) Thanks for that. Cheers, Rick
Hi Rick... Thank you... It does feel very comfortable to hold and apparently triangular pens were used to help children with writing difficulties... The laminating idea sounds like something for Gary.. Papa 1947.. But I like it... My pleasure... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
Interesting technique. I don’t make pens ( I leave that to my hubby), but nicely different. Ditto your weather. Lots of dry, one good rainfall, back to dry again!
Hi Valerie... Thank you... Get hubby to give it a try... great fun... As we both have similar climates I hope that you are coping with this unusual weather... I'm afraid that I just don't like the heat... give me raindrops on my workshop roof any day... Haha... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy

Always been a fan of the Atom 2 kit and have made several but never thought of making them this shape. It would work well for adding a name or logo on the flats. Don't you find that orange dust gets everywhere!!!
Hi Mykhough6614... Yes.. the Atom is a good quality product and so simple to make.. ideal 1st pen.. I also thought about logos on the flats... I love Padouk.. beautiful wood... easy to work.. but the dust.. Haha.. you're quite correct... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
Nice work Andy! I've never seen anyone turn a pen with the method you used. What brand/style of bushings did you use because I've only ever seen the long rod & bushing style? I agree that Huw is THE MAN for turning pens. All the best, Stuart
Hi Stuart... Thank you very much... A lot of pen turners are turning between centres now... You can get between centres bushings now which have an inverted cone in them... They fit between a dead centre at the headstock and the live centre at the tailstock end... Here I used normal bushings but it still works... Less wobbly than a pen mandrel... Yes.. Huw is the man for pens... Take care my friend...All the best.....Andy
Great idea! Might have a go myself, a boater doesn’t want a pen that rolls away. I’ve used the Atom2 kits for a long time now, the single blank length is great for the segmented and patterned pens I make. Have you tried the Ion version? Very similar but with a twist end rather than click. Cheers Lee🤓
