Bane of Progress does not get counters if a permanent is not destroyed, so the Thassa's should not have been added to the counters during the second game.
Good call. I swore it still got them but I looked it up and you are right. It has to be destroy for the counter to go on.
Can't blow up thassa because she's an enchantment unless you exiled it
You are right. I thought for some reason you got a counter even if it wasn't actually destroyed. I don't think it changed the came thankfully.

Not sure that this happened, because I wasn't paying a huge amount of attention, but it is my understanding that Academy Manufactor and Adrix do not interact the way you think. In non-judge terminology, these effects are both replacement effects and can only be applied once thus whenever you play a creature with Lonis out and both of these you simply get 2 Clues, 2 Treasure and 2 Food. it does not create infinite mana or infinite draw.
I'm not sure if he explained it well, but you both are right. They are both replacement effects and so the active player can choose how the go on the stack. So how it works is with Adrix & Nev, Academy Manufactor, Lonis, and Shrieking Drake all available he casts the Shrieking Drake which triggers Lonis and he investigates creating a clue token, plus a second clue token because of Adrix and Nev. Both clue tokens trigger Academy Manufactor for a total of 2x food, 2x clues, and 2x treasure. The Shrieking Drake then returns to Jordan's hand. He can then sacrifice one treasure for a blue starting the process over again. This allows him to get 2x food, 2x clues, and 1x treasure after every cycle and he can do it a billion times. So he can get a billion of everything, but he gets there one at a time not exponentially.

Jeff’s Thassa was a Phantasmal Image which was a copy of Jordan’s actual Thassa. So just targeting Jeff’s made him sack it. The editing was fast so I can see how that would be confusing.

I thought getting all 5 flips would be almost impossible in a regular game, but the thumb make it so much easier.
So hard to kill Izzet players! I don’t like playing Izzet but I enjoy the grind it is to get them out of the game
I honestly don't jive a ton with Izzet most of the time, but red and blue have so much its hard to stay away.

uhm, 3 creatures died at 16:00 so... 3 blood artist triggers? oh, nvm, only the first i guess... and thassa isn't a creature when she gets copied by the phantasmal image? and arasta trigger on red elemental blast... all on those few seconds :P oh and why do you get counters on bane of progress for thassa if it says you get a counter for each permanent destroyed this way?
The damage from Niv mizzet is one at a time so he can stack so the blood artist dies first. I think the you said is all true... Jordan needed two more devotion for Thassa to be a creature so it could be cloned. We missed a spider token. The artifacts and enchantments need to actually be destroyed for a counter to be placed not just attempted to be destroyed. Thats all pretty embarrassing, but good eye. We eventually want to have a judge or at least someone else who is not playing watching the games so we don't miss so much.

Bastion + Chatterfang + Doubling Season should only create 2 soldiers + 2 squirrels not 2 soldiers + 4 squirrels? Or am I missing something?
Correct me if I'm wrong but Bastion puts in one human and that is doubled by Doubling Season so two humans. Chatterfang says you get that many squirrels so two squirrels and then that is doubled by Doubling season so four.
@@KingdomsTV My understanding is that the replacement effect only applies once to an event, it does not invoke itself repeatedly. So when Bastion creates 1 token, either apply Chatterfang replacement effect first then Doubling Season or vice versa. Hence if we choose to apply Chatterfang first then Doubling Season, we will get 1 soldier + 1 squirrel then double to 2 + 2. If we apply Doubling Season first then Chatterfang, we will get 1 soldiers double to 2 soldiers then add 2 squirrels. Both choices will end up with 2 soldiers + 2 squirrels.
@@lickamond8140 is correct. If this worked like KingdomsTV said it would create infinite triggers resulting in a draw (following your own logic. They're not triggers, they're 2 replacement effects on the same token creation trigger (which you get to decide the order on).
When you make the human token, instead you either create 1 human and 1 squirrel, or 2 humans.
Then the other replacement effect is applied: respectively create another human and squirrel, or 2 squirrels.
Either way you sort this, you will end up with the same outcome.
Great game! Crazy decisions from the beginning to the end. Quick note: The Lonis deck link is broken atm and I can't access it to see the sweet sauce

Idk if anyone mentioned this but Shrieking Drake + Lonis + Academy Manufactor = infinite ETBs. He missed that at 26:00
I think he knew it, but it was only infinite food and clues.

Quick version: they are veneers!
Long version: When I was young and my sisters were getting braces my dentist told us that I didn't need braces as I had a big enough mouth and my bite was good. The sucky part was I had a gap in between my two front teeth, a missing tooth, and a peg tooth! They said it was all cosmetic though and insurance wouldn't cover it. So I saved up for about 10 years and finally got some veneers a few years ago. They told me I could make them a bit less white so they look more "natural" and I was like "forget that" make them shine! So that's the story. :)
