I had ductal carcinoma 12 years ago and beat it. I was diagnosed with tnbc in early September this year. Stage 1, but because of the prior diagnosis, I did a bilateral mastectomy in early October. I healed and now I’m smack in the middle of chemo. Bald. Extremely tired. I’m on cytoxan and taxotere. I have 2 more treatments but it’s really rough! I’ve never been so exhausted in my life. Hair grows back. I’ll have more recon surgery after chemo to even and plump a little with my own tissue. Right now, I just pray I get through the next 2 treatments. I’m single and have to work. It’s impossible!

I am TNBC stage II. I have just finished 11 taxol / Carbo and worked through it. Now getting symptoms neuropathy in finger tips and feet and my vision has changed and need to wear my glasses all the time. I am single and have to work too so this has very much been a very rough and lonely road with no support. Not sure how I am going to recover from an operation but will have too.

@@avamathers9550 I’m finished with everything! You got this! You’re stronger than you think! Get support and help from your cancer care center. Get fluids when you need them. It helps a lot. If you don’t have the energy to drive yourself there, they should have transportation to pick you up. Apply for any financial assistance you can. It helps. And make sure you tell your doctor about everything you feel. Don’t allow them to blow you off! We know our bodies! Be your own advocate! One thing I will tell you, it’s lonely and scary to go through alone, but once you’re done and you come out on the other side, and you will, it’s empowering! You and God did this! If we can conquer cancer, we can conquer anything! YOU GOT THIS! Sending you prayers right now! 🌷💪🏽💞

After a double mastectomy, all my breast reconstruction attempts all failed & now I'm left concave. So body image is still a major problem, & still don't feel truly female without my prosthetic breasts.
Then, because of the chemo, my migraines got worse, so the Dr's tried one of the new Anti-CGRP med's on me - all that did was cause me to loose All the gains I had made recovering from the chemo. So now, my body image is even lower than it was before...
Swimsuits are a big problem because I'm now 3 different sizes - one size from the waist down, another size through my midsection, & yet a third size in my busts/chest (because my prosthetics won't stay where they belong in the water, so I can't wear them in a swimsuit). This year, I finally got a swim-skirt for the bottom & just wear a T-shirt on the top - oh how feminine that feels - NOT!

I am truly sorry you are feeling this way at the moment, it all sounds very familiar not just for me but for loads of other women…i am sure….
Very creative of you to go for a swim skirt and a T shirt, great problem solving. The swimming will probably give you a positive lift: trying and succeeding! i now walk two times an hour a day and do some strengthening exercises. This all empowers me greatly.

I was diagnosed in the spring of 2019 with stage three grade 3 triple negative breast cancer. In the spring of 2020 I had finally finished I had had my bilateral mastectomy and I was on Slota but that effects were much harder than I could ever imagine. 2021 first indication all clean skins in DE 2022 start of year to Indian I am not the end of 2022 and I am still in DE however my life as a truck driver is over with. I’m getting a divorce now. My husband doesn’t understand that who I was before my surgery is not who I am now who I was before Cancer is not who I am today. How do I move forward with my life? I’m still on pain medication and I don’t ever see a way of coming off of it I am in so much pain all the time. Nobody wants to hire me because I have been out of work for so long now. I’m also a grieving mother, so life without my child was hard enough, now what? Will we ever get to a new normal? When that feels positive productive and constructive? Also when I have an upcoming doctors appointment I struggle and worry a whole lot more and it’s not a comfort to me I panic very hard and I’m always terrified of what they might say to me maybe that’s because I went through my diagnosis and biopsy and all of that completely alone

Best thing you can do for yourself is to have a relationship with Jesus Christ as your savior. Start with repenting your sins to Jesus which means asking for forgiveness of your sins and verbally surrendering to him. And then agreeing to completely turn 180° away from sin in your life. If you’re able to say that Jesus as your savior and believe that he died on the cross for your sins and rose to heaven and it’s sitting at the right hand of the father, and that you believe he’s your Lord and Savior. That’s your first step. you’ll be born again. Look for a Christian Bible church near you that can help you dive into what’s in the Bible. With time and relationship and trust in Jesus he will help you overcome everything. God bless you and I to had cancer TBNC grade 3. Stage three, and I’m cancer free today. And I’m at the River because of Jesus Christ being my lord and savior. All praise to God. God bless amen.

Be there more in the days directly after each round of chemo, they are the roughest. Make sure she has her prescriptions and vitamins, help her keep her nutrition up when she’s too sick and tired to shop and prepare food. Find out when her appointments are and check in after them to see how she went or even offer to drive her if you are able. Some times people wanted to visit me but I was too sick to even have a conversation but just have someone there checking on you and doing a little housework while I rested was what I needed. Be a good listener, I wanted to talk about it a lot and people got sick of hearing about it.

Be there. Just be there. Always checking in. Cleaning whatever she can't do but won't ask. Buy her soft blanket ginger gum mirilax a scarf the prevention mouth wash a for chemo patients was a life saver. Honestly just have someone there to talk to and listen helped me so much.. my bf sent me a lot of things to help because we don't live nearby. But I had so many friends just come sit with me and be talk or nap or watch TV. I had tmbc stage 3 at 39. I'm now 41 and almost done withe pills to help prevent recurrence. Then my final reconstruction in August. But I'm back to work as a hairstylist and I have faith I'll be back to myself in no te.
