Thank you very much for your videos about the field sweater ! I am french so I don't understand everithing in the pattern, your explanations helped me a lot 🙏 I am currently stuck at round 21 so if you have any kind of explanation to provide I would be very grateful ❤️

Hi there. This row involves another kind of increase, normally called a lifted increase. In each "section", you slip the first stitch. Stitches have a left leg and a right leg (like thinking of a V - there is the left side of the V and the right side). You pick up the left side of the V of that stitch you just slipped onto the left needle and then you knit intot he back of it so you dont create a hole. This will increase the section from 8 sts to 9 sts. I hope this helps. If it isnt clear, let me know and I can do a video on that kind of increase. I hope my language isnt getting in the way. Happy to do a video on this if you like.

Having a bit of trouble figuring out sizes. I measured one of my sweaters and according to the in the pattern I get that a size 2 is an M. Is that possible? It seems a bit strange...

Hi Gemma. The sizing on the sweater is relatively large. I think the smallest sweater is an S rather than an XS.

I bought the pattern, but haven't got a clue where the german short rows are supposed to be! I don't see any directions stating where they are. This one is gonna be a challenge, and I will do what I can

Hi Nicole, The short rows dont start until the field pattern on the yoke is completed so after Row 43. :)

I wish the pattern said that the grain is counted as ONE! I got very confused when after the regular rounds, one moves the marker, I made such a mess!

There are definitely a few assumptions that are made in the pattern and things not completely spelled out. I hope you managed to get it sorted out.

Thank you! I don't get why this pattern is so badly written. For exemple I've just realised I done all the increases wrong just because she did not clearly explain how to increase in the instructions... I'm so pissed off, I've already started twice from zero... It's beautiful but so annoying!!!

It is frustrating. Some designers can come up with beautiful designs so their creativity is amazing. But their communication doesnt always match that. And to be a great designer, i think you need both. Or people working for you who can fill in the gaps where your skills arent quite up to it... Hope you find more success this time around as the final sweater is lovely.
