Knitting Tutorial: Rounds 21 and 23 of the Field Sweater by Camilla Vad - Mostly Knitting Podcast

- In this video I demonstrate Rounds 21 and 23 of the Field Sweater by Camilla Vad.
There is an increase in Round 21 that is different from the increases in other rounds. Round 23 involves both making and collapsing (harvesting) grains which is different from previous rounds.

This is a paid pattern so i focus on the repeat for the rounds and don't share any of the other numbers involved in the pattern. Hopefully just enough to help in the creation for someone who has already purchased the pattern. If you plan to make this sweater, please support the designer's work and purchase the pattern.
I am using Isager Yarn - Highland Wool in Rhubarb and Silk Mohair in colour 28 held together.

I just landed on row 21 and read through the instructions and this row is complicated. I'm so glad you've done these tutorials, they really help. I feel like we are are doing an unofficial knit along. Thank you for your help.

I’m stuck in Row11. There’s the routine blah and then * to * till 1 st before M then it carries on k1 front, k2, k the 3 st on grain tog tbl repeat from * repeat from * to * till 1 st before m, k1. How does this happen if yr at end marker already
And I don’t think it’s in the Dutch version….

Hi, on round 22 when it states p2tbl, do we knit p2togtbl or do we do p1tbl+p1tbl?

Hello and I'm hoping you may be able to help - I'm driving myself mad trying to find someone to help with this problem. I'm knitting on the Field Slipover (Camilla Vad) doing grand with the grains, get to round 28 and come across a new abbreviation that isn't explained in the key - so up until now the motive has been over 8 stitches (like sweater I guess) the last round is rnd 8 (5-8 repeated 5 times = K1tbl,k3,k1tbl,k3 - then we get to 28 and this happens - sl1pw, 2r, k2, make grain, sl1pw, make grain, k2.
I have absolutely no idea what to do for the 2r - I don't have an extra 2 stitches there as the row before is round 8 and no mention of any inc. then straight onto mention of the 2r, then k2 straight after. Does anyone know what this means as I'm going out of my mind trying to get answers from Designer and need to get this finished as a christmas gift for DD. Thank you in advance (if you can help) xxx
HI there. I am so sorry it has taken me so long to reply. I dont have the pattern for the slipover and I am not quite sure what this round would equate to in the pullover version. I hope someone was able to reply to your question or you were able to determine what needed to be done for the round. Unfortunately I havent had a reply from the designer to a question i had a couple of weeks ago about the Grayson hat. It seems that pattern support is non-existent at the moment which is a shame. Perhaps the 2r is a typo and just shouldnt be there at all. I didnt see this in the Field Sweater and it doesnt seem to match the 8 st count.
In which round we should add colour B
I didnt actually add a second colour. I would have a look on ravelry at projects where a second colour was added and see what notes people have made. I find other people's project notes can be really helpful.
