This is such a great event! But the NHL just has no clue how to run itself. This one was 8 years after the last one, and the one before was 5 years, the one before was 4.. NO consistancy like say the world cup of soccer or rugby. Both are amazing spectacles for that reason.
Because Toronto is probably the second best hockey city in Canada, next to Montreal. But, of course, no matter where in Canada hockey is played, the audiences are always raucous. I can't wait until the Vancouver Olympics!

I LOVE international hockey tournaments. World Cup of hockey/Canada Cup were the rare moments that you got to witness the absolute best hockey players in the world playing for their country. The IIHF World championship is really a second rate tournament.The olympics were great, but it's not sure yet if the NHL players will be in Sotchi in 2012. Will the World Cup of hockey ever return again? I wish it could be held on a regular basis just like the FIFA world cup. Please bring it back again!!!
