Learn how to make WAFER PAPER PHALAENOPSIS ORCHID.
Orchids are one of my favorite flowers. This particular flower is a Phalaenopsis orchid, which is also known as a moth orchid because the petals open up like the wingspan of a moth. In this tutorial, I'm going to teach you the easiest way to make a wafer paper flower using only AC Tonic (my non-alcoholic conditioner recipe) and Drezden tool! How cool is that? And you will never need to water it!

Yey! I'm always happy to share. Wafer paper get very fragile if you use any heat, but as you can see it dries in 10 minutes on it's own, do not need to speed up the process.

Thank you! I think a lot of the conditioner on the marker are alcohol-based. I find that it make wafer paper brittle

When you put these on a wedding cake during the summer, do these get sprayed with anything so that they don't curl or anything by the humidity? I have a wedding cake that would be really pretty to do these, but never done flowers with wafer paper so not sure how they would handle.
Hello, Peggy. I use to live in Florida and pool weddings were a theme. Wafer Paper is much more stable compare to gum paste, just make sure it is completely dry prior to arranging on a cake and you can add a thin layer of melted cocoa butter to the back side to protect from humidity

Thank you! Glycerin is a humectant and helps wafer paper maintain it's flexibility.
I have wafer paper 0.35 is that ok to work with?
Yes, just be mindful about amount of moisture, might need longer time to absorb the conditioner

What is high proof alcohol? Do you mean high % alcohol such as 100% alcohol?
Depends on where you in the world, I use Elerclear. Something 60-95% alcohol.
