I haven't played RR yet, but I'd probably order it: Shantae, 7S, HGH, Pirates Curse. Shantae 1 was a great experience and I love it, but looking at it objectively it was definitely more dated in some aspects. 7S's dungeon exploration was great, but the story (especially characterisation) left a lot to be desired, and the heavy dip in difficulty on the later half made it somewhat of a slog to get through. HGH is a perfectly solid title, despite being more of a normal platformer, rather than a metroidvania. Pirates Curse feels amazing to just move around in, the story is great and the game design solidly facilitates its movement. The bosses are fairly difficult too.
There all great games for me with PC and Shantae 1 taking the top 2 spots for me. SS at 3, HGH at 4 and RR in 4th. Not to say it is a bad game, it feels kinda of short compare to the others. And I loved the mini games of the first game, to dancing, racing Rottytops and the dice game.
Yeah this is outdated. You're missing the second one which if Dev counted 1997 version it's the third. Second game in the series is called Shantae Risky's Revolution not Risky's Revenge unless you're mentioning installments since the series is rather jumbled in releases.
You dont like Metroidvania style games hence the ranking but I am so opposed to 1/2 Genie Hero being the best it's not even funny, like what am I doing with my life? Very enjoyable video nonetheless!
Bruh i know it's a bit tricky for the levels but its definitely one of my favs also be happy that you have pirates queen quest wich is shantae and the pirates curse based also you have 3 story modes and many different gameplay features its ofc the best
@ I did have fun with it but my problem with 1/2 Genie Hero is the soft reboot. Pirate's Curse established such an interesting lore, especially for Rotty and then 1/2 threw it out and worse, Wayforward still hasn't touched upon it...

I have the same ranking as you

@@lordenma4449 But the modes are very similar each and every time becuse same stages.
@@isaac3000 It's a platformer, it's meant to be replayed, the modes just give a different way to play the base game, even if they are fairly pricy.

Cool. To make a top five list when there are only five games. What a novel idea. Next time just tell us what your favorite and the close second is.
