Just started my insanity run on the legendary edition, first thing I've noticed is that they've screwed up my plan of just abusing the frick out of the old advanced immunity from Me 1 2007 Man I miss that rn now😂
As a seasoned ME player for many long years, I will give you my 2 EXPERT recommendations to newcomers or older guys, if you are an avid video game player: 1. ONLY play on INSANE difficulty, anything less you will feel it is less rewarding. 2. Play as "VANGUARD". That is the best high-risk high-reward the most enjoyable imo game style combining more than enough biotic abilities with close counters gunplay. All other tips could be built on these two. You are welcome.
Every video like this: “It’s best to take companions that balance your squad and provide a strategy.” Everybody: *taking the companions they like the most*
I literally had no idea ME2 had combo detonations. I always thought that started with ME3. Is there a tutorial mission that explains them, or did I just miss it?
Playing soldier and having a biotic ability like lift is definitely the way for insanity I just rely on my teammates for all 3 games but honestly I don’t use cover in ms1 I hate that they made it a requirement in the last 2 games
Iirc - the "prime-detonate-rinse and repeat" was only a thing in ME3. In ME2, combos were limited to warp explosions only. Have they changed that in legendary edition?
I've played most of the classes in the first two games; realized recently I'd swapped most of my characters into sentinel for ME3 by accident so I'm trying it with other classes. IMHO ME2 was the most fun as my Engineer with Grunt and Jack; both are berserkers so I'd just toss out my drone to distract enemies briefly when they got into hot water. :)
my first 360 game. i wanted halo 3, but costco only had mass effect. didn't really appreciate this game until later. game felt like halo socom starwars rpg.
Playing ME:LE but yet downloading ME3 for multiplayer right now, sad its missing from remaster.. And for players who have problem with achievments in ME:LE, use origin instead of EA desktop (ea desktop is broken).
I've been a major video game player on the most difficult setting's for fun to me myself since anything else just goes to weakest game for I so naturally great games in most setting for fun to I on whatever game I'll play for fun to me that I've seen for fun
Absolutely! And I highly recommend it. Playing through a second time with a new character and making new choices and trying a new class and squad is a huge part of Mass Effect.
I'm coming here after starting to play for my first time. Over 5 hours in and have no clue what I am supposed to be trying to do or how I know that lol. I guess I will figure it out at some point. Just leaving this comment for those in the same situation.
You don't need any abilities or certain balanced squats. If you want to click and shoot, ignore biotics and only use tech to decrypt loot crates you totally can. The combos are great, don't get me wrong, but you don't need them.
Any tips for the story for a guy who's never played mass effect? I know the decisions have big impacts, so just tell me how not to destroy things too badly.
I will try to avoid spoilers and just say this - in Mass Effect 2 there will come a point where it's clear you're about to head into the final set of missions and in cutscenes everyone will talk about how you should hurry up and not delay. Go to the main mission RIGHT AWAY. If you have any side missions, forget about them and head straight for that main mission that your crew will be urging you about. Otherwise, again without being too specific, just make sure you have that paragon or renegade skill maxed in ME1. There is a very VERY key conversation you will have with Wrex on a planet called Virmire. Make sure you do his personal quest before going there and even still make sure you have high paragon or renegade. There are some choices that are meant to be gray and not have a direct right or wrong answer. If it's life or death the game will make it very clear what you're about to choose so you're good. Remember - it's an awesome experience to replay the series! Make your choices and stick with them. If you're really bummed about a major choice or choices, it can be awesome to go back and do a whole other run later down the line and see another version of the story.
There are 4 endings. And 6 character builds. Each yielding a different experience. I found biotic/power combos to be quite satisfying! I discovered ME2 in 2010 and got the other 2 in short order! Since then I have racked up over 2,500 hours of trilogy play!
@@jeffreysickels1970 there’s only one ending with different color palettes and one slightly extended scene that makes no sense. Not sure what “4th” ending you’re referring to, though. I was sorely disappointed that none of my choices throughout three games mattered in the end, and it was a: Door #1 extinction, Door #2 cooperation, or Door #3 assimilation or whatever lame trope they ended up being was. It felt cheap.
@@donspafford414 The 4th is if you ignored/rejected the other 3 paths(destroy, control, synthesis). The Reapers win. The lackluster ending(s) brought disappointment to many. But the 120+ hours of gameplay to get there is a blast IMHO.
1. Play using mods. Heavy moded game it's the way to go! 2. Play in insanity, where the fun is! Nothing more fun than a charging warlord Krogan in insanity! 3. Embrace eternity!
I really recommend insanity difficulty on mass effect 1. It really isnt that scary, its the same as veteran, but enemies take around double the hits, thats all. It encourages you to use cover and abilities and not run around like terminator. Because the ai is still very bad on the first game, creepers and husks run around in circles if you stand far enough away. The only real problem is snipers kill you in one hit, but you can avoid the super obvious red laser beam before they shoot.
I'm halfway through ME2 and most of these tips are new to me..?! Never really played RPGs before so treated this as a cover shooter ultimately. Absolutely loving the series so far, but some of these 'geekier' elements are lost on me unfortunately. Don't think I've ever consciously used a Biotic...
I suck at shooters and I never remember to have my companions do anything besides sometimes stand behind cover; I play on normal. It's not as hard as it might seem. You'll have an easier time if you learn the basics as he says but the game isn't impossible if you don't learn them.

Not gonna lie this game mass Effect 1 hasn't aged well. Painfully slow gameplay Not sure who's out there enjoying this but I hope the nostalgia is worth it.
this game is just.. it's too hard for me to get into, I shoot enemies and they don't even bleed, I cannot create a character if it's not the main protagonist, the controls on pc are just contrainruitive, and how ia this even an rpg.. I've been convinced to buy it, one of the greatest rpgs of all time, they said, as good as new vegas even. that is simply not the case, at least in fallout you have your own creation, not some boring ass military politics shite.. wtf.. I should not have bought this and neither should you, if you value your rpgs. This is an action game with bad action and made for children, and boring at that. So do not make my mistake. .

It's free right now for PS+ peeps, did you buy it without knowing it would become free?
I really enjoy your content!
Great video brother 👍 Subscribed!
I played Mass Effect 1, 2 and 3 on my PC. I still own them but however i still use Windows 7. So i had to buy Mass Effect Legendary on my PS4.
In Mass Effect 1, you don’t need combo detonations or crowd control skills, you just need *explosive ammo*
i usually just go in with Ashley an wrex an just sweep everyone as a soldier for me this works best in me1
Just started my insanity run on the legendary edition, first thing I've noticed is that they've screwed up my plan of just abusing the frick out of the old advanced immunity from Me 1 2007
Man I miss that rn now😂
first time playing, it seems great, nand giant
As a seasoned ME player for many long years, I will give you my 2 EXPERT recommendations to newcomers or older guys, if you are an avid video game player: 1. ONLY play on INSANE difficulty, anything less you will feel it is less rewarding. 2. Play as "VANGUARD". That is the best high-risk high-reward the most enjoyable imo game style combining more than enough biotic abilities with close counters gunplay. All other tips could be built on these two. You are welcome.
Good you make a video with tips
for advanced players? I’ve played a 1 - 3 on normal and would like tips to up my game.
Every video like this: “It’s best to take companions that balance your squad and provide a strategy.”
Everybody: *taking the companions they like the most*
thanks for the vid
I was playing the mass effect trilogy last week waiting for legendary edition
that’s good to know
I literally had no idea ME2 had combo detonations. I always thought that started with ME3. Is there a tutorial mission that explains them, or did I just miss it?
Thank you
Playing soldier and having a biotic ability like lift is definitely the way for insanity I just rely on my teammates for all 3 games but honestly I don’t use cover in ms1 I hate that they made it a requirement in the last 2 games
What is the music at the beginning?
Uncharted Worlds from the Mass Effect soundtrack, otherwise known as the galaxy map music.
Look the fov in the og its perfect and then the Remake. TLDR: you canot chance the fov if you dont use 3 Party mods.
I highly recommen resahde for PC. ENhance it even more.
As well as some insanly good mods on Nexus.
Iirc - the "prime-detonate-rinse and repeat" was only a thing in ME3. In ME2, combos were limited to warp explosions only. Have they changed that in legendary edition?
thats what i was thinking. ME1 didnt have combo's did it? ME2 had warp explosions which were nice.
Mass effect 1- engineer
Mass effect 2- soldier/infiltrator
Mass effect 3-soldier/engineer
I've played most of the classes in the first two games; realized recently I'd swapped most of my characters into sentinel for ME3 by accident so I'm trying it with other classes. IMHO ME2 was the most fun as my Engineer with Grunt and Jack; both are berserkers so I'd just toss out my drone to distract enemies briefly when they got into hot water. :)
M.E. Legenday?
This game?
Is just *loaded with ALL kinds of optional badassery. ❤❤❤❤
🎉🎉🎉🎂😁😎
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
my first 360 game. i wanted halo 3, but costco only had mass effect. didn't really appreciate this game until later.
game felt like halo socom starwars rpg.
Does anyone know if you are able to enable cheats like in the original PC version of mass effect 1?
Haven’t tested it yet myself but might try later
Can we play with multiple characters on Console, is there multiple save files?
Absolutely! And I highly recommend it. Playing through a second time with a new character and making new choices and trying a new class and squad is a huge part of Mass Effect.
@@ExaltedMarch thank you:-)
I'm coming here after starting to play for my first time.
Balanced squats?
@@majorgear1021 squads*. You should balance your squats for sure, sorry. English shouldn't have made those words so similar.
@@ingydegmar2060 Good point. If the weights are uneven, I might dump plates off
to one side or even fall over!
Started first play through ever last night. Got to the Saren part at the citadel. Im pretty lost. I have basically no clue wtf he's talking about. Lol
@@ExaltedMarch Hey thanks man, I wasnt expected that much help. Got a sub from me
@@Magnus_Corvus Thanks for watching! And welcome!
I haven’t played it again since I completed ME3 way back when… the ending of the trilogy still haunts me… how did you complete it so many times?
3:15 that's warp not throw btw...
Which button do I push to snap a photo on xbox?
My first time ever playing and ofc I choose sentinel and I don't wanna re-roll 😞
If this all sounds too complicated to me should I just play on easy?
You can play it on easy and just go through it pretty much like any other 3rd person shooter imo
I suck at shooters and I never remember to have my companions do anything besides sometimes stand behind cover; I play on normal. It's not as hard as it might seem. You'll have an easier time if you learn the basics as he says but the game isn't impossible if you don't learn them.
Dam I missed so much shite on my first play through of me1 🤦♂️feel like I kinda fucked up im a new player to ME and switched from solider to vanguard at the beginning of me2 but it feels no way nearrr as good, maybe I just gotta level it up more idk, thoughts on vanguard in me2 ?
Vanguard is the most fun in ME2 and with the right skills it is a TANK
Playing on normal I just shoot people kinda dumb but it seems to work
What is the melody i sometimes hear in the citadel? It Sounds like feliz Navidad to me o.O can this be?
Lol, the elevator music.
I thought it was La Bamba.
can I play with a PS3 controller i don't have an Xbox controller and using the keyboard probably feels too wierd
Me1: use wrex and ash...let kaidan die
Me2: use grunt and any1 else...special shoutout to jack, legion, samara and miranda...jacob is usless...
Me3: bring any1 who can use the pistol scorpion…
Your HUD is different from mine (PS4)
Did they update the HUD since your video is 7 months old? Or maybe it's because I just started a new game?
This game is super easy on hardcore, its almost boring with how easy it is. I alway have a bunch of medkits and haven’t really needed to go to the store or anything yet, does the game get any harder afte noveria or should I just up the difficulty??
I have actually found Insanity to be very manageable. I still only die very rarely, but it's a decent challenge. If you're beasting hardcore, yeah up that sucker to Insanity.
@@ExaltedMarch its wild bc I remember as a kid me2 being quite challenging, but i never played me1. I play most games on hard my first run through, but damn this shit feels like normal
In OG ME1 there was a really big difference between difficulty levels but I just finished my insanity run of the first game today and it was definitely easier than I remember. I’m not mad about it, though cuz those immunity spammers were SO annoying lol
@@elizabethjameson3231 gotta remember, it could also be because were able to use all the weapons in me1 instead of pistol only too.
I was more invested in the halo trilogy than mass effect so I never got to play it.. should I? Is it any good?
On ps+ downloading now
03:48 Me 2 soldier with adrenaline and the Mattock yeah thats cute and all but imma just freeze time and mash the living heck outta my trigger for a bit😂
Not gonna lie this game mass Effect 1 hasn't aged well. Painfully slow gameplay Not sure who's out there enjoying this but I hope the nostalgia is worth it.
there is no disc version for pc , mention that aswell boy
Who the hell plays disk games on pc in 2021?
Abilities: best ignored, shoot enemies in the face.
this game is just.. it's too hard for me to get into, I shoot enemies and they don't even bleed, I cannot create a character if it's not the main protagonist, the controls on pc are just contrainruitive, and how ia this even an rpg.. So do not make my mistake.
.
It has a really shitty ending that ignores key points of discussion in the third game final Act.
You don't need to know anything! Play it completely blind!
There is only one rule:
Blueberry waifu best waifu.
Cheating allowed only for achievements.
Y'know, maybe I'll just work it out for myself. 🙄
The game doesn't tell ya boy where to go
