Lancer players after reading thousands of years of complex geopolitical and hard science lore to never roleplay anything and just fight with giant robots:
This device does not exist, and never has existed, yet it is here, and the effects of it are very real, now I'm going to use a godlike AI I named Cleetus to steal my teammates nat 20 to shoot you with it
I bet when Cleetus cascades he starts talking about "Not taking too kindly to folks like you 'round these parts" and treating the cockpit as their private property.
How else was I going to show off my Manticor/Tokugawa build? I somehow survived without dying, and it's just a small village in some backwater nowhere planet, now watch how much damage I can do by blowing myself up after I purposefully melt down my own reactor
LANCER players spending 5000 hours making a deep and complex character with a good backstory and compelling personality traits only to rp with them one time and do combat the rest of the campaign
I made a language for a character named Toora, but I don't know how to rp, like a full-blown language with its own grammatical system and everything, multiple spreadsheets cheat sheets and over a thousand years of lore, the closest thing I've ever done to rp is throwing one of my teammates against a wall because it clashed with my cultural morals
@@ShrimpEmporium Okay now that’s understandable, no issues with that. The problem comes when someone tries to convert something like Gundam or Cyberpunk into a fantasy TTRPG.
Monster of the Week is probably some of the most fun our group has had with ttrpgs, and we're currently adapting the rules and playbooks for a feudal Japan setting
I tried playing it once and got run over by the party chimera, because I wanted to beat the last enemy to death because I rolled really good stats for melee, and literally had not been able to do anything for the past four hours
We did a monster hunter 1 shot with some janky 5e rules and it was pretty dope. Also walking away alive from a Call of Cthulu session 0 is def a good feeling I rolled well enough that I was scarred from the experience, might have a cursed magical knife, but damn I'm alive and I gave the monster a bloody nose.
OP has some real scars fromm notnbeing interested in warhammer lore. Good. You need to know about Sanguinious' goldfish to thoroughly enjoy the expirience
Ayo where is anima beyond fantasy? The game does exist but nobody plays it 💀. It was my first ttrpg and the art is pretty fucking cool but almost anybody plays it so it has 0 homebrew, fanarts and fanmade content

The fact that Mage the ascension is one of the least depressing parts of the World of Darkness setting is kind of worrrying
Mage the Awakening picked up all the depression to spare
They then decided to go all in and created Wraith
@@DefconLivesthe only game with an Auschwitz expansion. Not WW’s finest, or smartest, moment.

D&D 5e players trying not to homebrew the game into a genre it wasn’t designed for (impossible)
I was googling a Lancer Gundam conversion and I saw someone convert Gundam into fucking 5e instead
@@franslair2199 Woooow

No Lancer smh
Lancer players just wanting to beat the tar out of mechs
I genuinely believe that the Manticor is one of the best melee frames in the entire game, slap on some Tokugawa parts and you have an absolute beast
i am gods silliest lancer enjoyer :D
Only the Godhead's favorite servants know the Manticor is more than a meme
Monster of the Week is probably some of the most fun our group has had with ttrpgs, and we're currently adapting the rules and playbooks for a feudal Japan setting
I fucking love Monster of the Week, especially if your group makes a crazy ass party. Some of the most fun I've had in a TTRPG
The great thing about GURPS is that it's only as complicated as you want it to be -- it's super modular, letting you make it the system you want
Delta green players when someone mentions their fucking game (they must now make 50,000 scp references)
Paranoia players having way more fun than anyone else
bro that dnd 2e one was personal lmao
Damn that Cypher one felt personal

I tried playing it once and got run over by the party chimera, because I wanted to beat the last enemy to death because I rolled really good stats for melee, and literally had not been able to do anything for the past four hours
Mork Borg players making the most fucked up little guys possible for a party only to tpk to a single goblin (cursed and couldnt find it in time)
1:43 As a World of Darkness fan, I too am in denial.
2:11 ... maybe i should look into pf2e
No Paranoia?
Have three Treason Stars for such an unacceptable omission.
Friend Computer thanks you for your loyalty and rewards you with 50 points.
You then lose 25 for only giving OP three treason stars.
When you've actually played a large enough variety of rpgs to get all these jokes like I have despite only being in the hobby since covid.

How could you not include Shadowrun or Cyberpunk 2020?
I wasn't overly familiar with those systems when I made this. Now that I am, planning on making a second one.
