Actually, an American #1 is closer to a 'B' on the scale in comparison with a #1.5 being a 2B. The pencils you chose for #1 are vintage which by and large tend to run darker than modern day equivalents. For a more accurate comparison, I'd suggest using Musgrave Harvest pencils for the American grade scale and then compare it alongside Staedtlers or Faber Castell for the Euro scale.
Excellent video. I used to use a Berol Black Warrior 1-1/2 and then I switched to a Pentel P205 (and other Pentel pencils) and use 2B. I’ve always liked a darker lead. Sadly, the Black Warrior pencils dipped in quality when they stopped being made in the USA 🇺🇸
The Schwan is made by Schwan-STABILO (Schwanhäußer Industrie Holding GmbH & Co. KG, Heroldsberg), which is usually just called Stabilo. But on pencils, they use Schwan name. Their highlighters have Stabilo with a swan logo.
I'm sure it's outside of your experience, but I wonder if there is a multi-pen/pencil that you would recommend for me as an electrician. I primarily will be marking metal with pencil, this is for bending/cutting conduit primarily. I also take notes and make diagrams. I prefer something that isn't heavy or long, I will carry it in a shirt pocket. Any pencil width is likely to work. I only need black pen and pencil, but a 3 in one would be fine too. Prefer a decent eraser. Anyway, that's a complicated question and I get it if you don't want to get into it. I enjoy the content and your drawing skill.
@@unsharpen Thank you. I actually did see this model. I don't really need a pencil like that, just a regular one, but that might make a lot of sense for a carpenter. I'm looking for a multi-pen. Right now I have to carry a pencil, pen and small marker all the time. Anyway, I will keep looking. I have seen some on your channel that I'm considering, mainly 3 in 1.
Thanks for the video. So, is the #2 for US scale the same as the HB on the other type of scale? I notice the HB on that pencil you are showing. Thanks.
thanks for the response 👍 the pental Excalibur is a cool pen if you have one..and have you reviewed the Sunderland pen..it takes many refills..again thanks

Thanks! Most of my mugraves are unscaled, like tenn. red, and quite dark.

Had no idea. Thanks!
Very nice! I like the look of that Corporation pencil; I've never seen one before.

@@justinkase1360try the Pentel Multi8, it takes a D1 Pentel ballpoint refill as well as a bunch of 2 mm pencil leads.
