  • A voice recording of Prince George William Frederick Charles, Duke of Cambridge, cousin of Queen Victoria and grandson of King George III, remastered. His message to Thomas Edison is as follows:
    ‘I congratulate you on the marvelous success of this invention, which I think will produce singular results in the future.’

    The original Duke of Cambridge in the modern era. Finally something concerning him.

    Wished that there was a longer snippet. He was also older than Queen Victoria by a few months (although the earliest-born person with a voice recording that has survived seems to have been von Moltke the Elder, who was born in 1800).
