papa flammy finally picked up JEE
7:33 lmao "black magic physics f*ckery."
My diff equations professor actually went on to prove why this works in class, but then in the physics we just randomly have dx's and dy's floating around in equations
Don't pick questions from this exam flam, people would still never be pleased that you tried a creative approach instead of the "short tricks" these kids learn in their Entrance Exam factories.
your name is professional hater... you sure you aren't one of "those" kids
Lol you are also one of the reasons to start those fights. Moreover this is one of the standard methods in current day JEE mains itself(in fact from 2021) and also VITEEE. I am not saying the video is bad or literally nothing. You are making it sound like this is an unknown method. That's what I am pointing.
@@ThorfinnBus I wouldn't have commented if I hadn't seen a comment calling this question trash and easy because of the existence of IF method
Bhai chorde isko limits ka problem dege@@itachu.
Yes. I personally don't like this exam as they are overrated in india
Wow I wasn't expecting a jee advanced question here lolol
But how I would have done it is by dividing by cos²x. Then using the linear differential equation dy/dx + Py = Q method with integrating factor and stuff
that was my first instinct too, i just tried it and i got y = tanx + (C-1)e^-tanx
This is really good. I'm surprised, I saw the thumbnail and title and was expecting a joke video.
I like this solution. I did something a lot less elegant but still dependent on the derivative of tan. Let t(x) = tan (x).
Then the ODE becomes
y'/t' + y = t
But d/dx (y(t (x)) = y' = dy/dt * t' so dy/dt = y'/t', and thus
dy/dt + y = t
This is easily solved using the method of linear equations or by a clever substitution.
When I'm too lazy, I use the variation of the constants method to find the particular solution (linear diff. equations). It always work, it's easy, pretty quick and you never need to "guess" what kind of particular solution may work, thus avoids wasting time. Only exception is if everything is a polynomial or a polynomial of trigonometric functions
I'm curious isn't vop a method for 2nd order odes
@@yahia2601 works also for 1st order
@@yahia2601we can solve the associated homogeneous equation, but we typically can’t guess a particular solution if the function is tan(x). That’s where variation of parameters comes in. Use the general solution to solve for the particular solution.
@@yahia2601it appears we could also have just used and integrating factor on the original DE. Sorry, it’s been a few years 😅.
@@kamarinelson no worres. I thougt there was something I was missing /didn't know. Thanks for the reply
Heh I currently taking Diff Eq/Linear Algebra. This pretty cool, this is what we’re soon gonna learn when we return to Diff Eq
even with his hatred for india, he still took up a jee question, chad
Chad indeed
He is running on low views.
wow thats very creative, thanks 😍
Great work!
Nice one !!
for a question in an exam its quite fair as it isnt particularly lengthy to solve, but the solution is very pretty. prettier than most DE exam questions im used to.
although now looking thru comments... What are you up to FLAMMY?
nice DE, I liked this method, I used the integrating factor, but I did a stoopid, and when I was integrating 1/cos^2x, i forgot that tanx differentiates to sec^x, so it took me a while to figure.
The integrating factor method makes this question trivial. Still nice method though.
Great to see problems I've solved ❤❤❤❤❤. From India .
papa flammy is there a way to find a function f such that it satisfies the condition f'(x)=(f^-1)(x) (the derivative is the inverse) and f(1)=1 without an Ansatz? I am getting desperate
I have seen many videos of mathematics but I don’t know how to solve this, what is the method followed up by the instructor in this question?
Basic integrqting factor ,,e^tanx
This is an example of linear differential equation (y` + P(x)y = Q(x)) use standard solution (y*IF = integral(IF*Q(x) dx) + c) it will give direct answer...This question was very easy There are good questions in Advanced I think you will enjoy solving them
Exactly!
Finally!
It's a linear differential equation and It's solution will be y = tanx + C
Papa Flammy doing JEE Advanced?
Most unpredictable thing of this year🤡
Cool solution man
better than the usual linear de what I'd do
Bro finally decided to pick up on side quests 🗣️
ez views as u mentioned JEE ADVANCED!!!!
Are you doing phd
noooooo papa there's no end to pleasing this crowd :(( ( I am as Indian as it can get)
True 😂
Seems to be linear first order
Hint for those who are beginners in differential equations and want to solve it on their own
First order linear equation has structure similar to the derivative of product
so it is good idea to multiply equation by the unknown function such that LHS indeed would be derivative of product
I would solve it as linear and there are two ways which I know
variation of parameter and integrating factor
Your first idea wasn't so bad
t = tan(x)
dt/dx = 1/cos^2(x)
dy/dx = (1+t^2)dy/dt
1/(1+t^2)*(1+t^2)dy/dt+y=t
dy/dt+y=t
dy/dt*exp(t)+y*exp(t) = t*exp(t)
d(exp(t)y)/dt = t*exp(t)
The only difficulty while solving linear first order equations is calculating integrals
that question isnt even of jee advanced 2023
I remember solving it in my last year of school
It has been years since I did something like this. My first instinct is to use the integrating factor method.
Did that question ,")
Good morning saar.
this is one way to increase views
yeah lol kinda saddened me that papa has to do this :( (its ok papa)
I am very certain that this is a JEE question, this is not supposed to be clickbait.
@@PapaFlammy69 He meant that solving JEE questions on the channel will make the indian audience happier and attract more of them
@@PapaFlammy69Love your skits with andrew ❤❤
in the homo solution, why did tan(x) on the right hand Side just disappear to zero
50 years vid
just use LDE simplest way to solve this
I don't think so this is from last year's JEE advance Question it might be from old year question but not from recent year because, all CBSE students can do by using integrating factor. I don't think we need particular solution and homogeneous solution. By showing this question it is a digress for the examination to pick this easy question. I would say pick Q4 from 2023 JEE advance question.
Thank you!
Wtf
Its kinda unexpected seeing JEE here lol
❤
i know you
@@itachu. ?
@@vinniepeterss yes
Dude this is JEE MAINS question not JEE ADVANCED, such oral questions are barely asked in jee advanced
This is a weird question but do you have any advice for learning maths as someone with ADHD? I sat the uni entry test and I got a good score but I have such a shit attention span and so many depressing thoughts that focusing and learning maths is hard for me.
The equation that i ca't resolve is 353K and 821 views knowing that it is nice viedeo !!!!
Pls don't complicate the solution just use bernollius ode
It's not complicated, he's not trying to just solve the question and tick the ans faster than anyone else's, he's trying to think of a new type of creative approach. And that's worth being appreciated for
@@user-fr9kv8cv1f nice cope
substituting y = tan(x) + z simplifies the equation and is readily solved.
It's Jee advanced not jee advance
no one gives a shit pajeet, take shower
Who cares?
papa flammy why dont u become a jee teacher lol
I think we can use substitution to highly simplify the the problem.
We can use tanx = X and then the equation becomes
dy/dX + y = X , and then we can find y(X) and then substitute X with tanx
What about cos^2(x)?
@@jameyatesmauriat6116 yes cos^2(x) dy/dx becomes dy/d(tanx)
y' + y sec^2 ( x) = tan ( x) sec^2(x)
exp ( tan ( x)) y
=
Int [exp (tan (x)) tan (x) sec^2(x) dx] + constant of indefinite integration
Here in
integration ( exp( z) z dz )
= exp(z) z - exp( z) + constant
Hereby
y = tan ( x) - 1 + A exp ( - tan ( x))
Wish me luck papa, gonna appear for jee adv 2024
Finally , JEE advance 😮
We have Papa Flammy solving JEE before GTA 6
He probably picked the easiest question of the 2023 paper. I had scored 126 in this paper in total, with 35 out of 120 in Mathematics. And trust me there were some brutal questions of Maths in Paper 1.
Edit: I am already through my first year at IIT Kharagpur, and don't really recall if a question this easy was on the test!
Branch ?

Take up 2022 jee advance question one of the finest question
I don't think this question was asked in jee advanced, nevertheless a good way to increase the views 😂😂
