Today I take the official Mensa IQ Test (not the entrance online one) and get my IQ Measured. Back in the days it has been measured a crippling 128 but today my IQ surprisingly differs from the old one when I was 13 yo. Enjoy and share the video around! =)

I think the issue with the test is that someone like him is trained doing that kind of thinking during his work. It is like training for the IQ test and then taking it. You don't need to know the answers 1:1 but simply the techniques how to approach these issues. TBF he is probably at the smart end of the spectrum, but the number is mostly meaningless.

This honestly gets me a bit irritated. It’s like UA-camrs telling people “anyone can do math”. But when you go and check their CV, they have PhDs from Oxford, Harvard, etc.
These people, although smart, are delusional. They have no idea what’s like having a low/average IQ.

@@victor-536 read the comment above you, all you have to do is simply apply yourself, practice, practice, practice, there's really nothing else i can say. I can't tell you how many times there's been things i wasn't good at until i just simply practiced them to death, and i became good. The world is far more nuanced than human made tests. IQ tests don't even test all the intelligences, since there are, at the very least theoretically other intelligences, and plenty of people with low or average IQ's are the bosses of high IQ individuals, it's not the end of the world, you'll do fine.

I scored 145 on the German Mensa IQ Test (took it 2011) yet I've had severe problems with math in University, which years later turned out to be because of how bad my school program was (we basically did nothing there and I had to start all over again learning basically everything from scratch, no differential equations, no probability theory... and university requires you to know binomial coefficients in your first week... you can imagine how I felt knowing literally nothing and there's no time to catch up because they pile material on top of you each week). So I had to drop out. Kinda sucks that life went some other way and I can't really blame myself, what do I know as a kid what I need for university?
I mean I remember sitting there and feeling stupid. Do these guys around me understand everything? How do they do it? Am I now dumb among these prodigies?
One could literally learn the entire 13 years school program in 3 months (which I did, and even more than that), so I am here asking why do we as a society spend so much resources on public education which sucks donkey balls. All you need is a few good books and $1.50 in late library fees.

"No one in their right mind takes pride in their talents" - Miss Maudie, To Kill A Mockingbird.
The reason you don't take pride in your talents, is that you did nothing to achieve them. IQ is a tool to achieve great things, but is not an achievement in itself. We don't admire Stephen Hawkins because he was smart, but because of what he achieved.
It's a dangerous thing to be take pride in IQ, since it might leave you feeling like you've already achieved something, and you'll end up not using your IQ for anything worthwhile, and therefore wasting it.

Even though Mensa denied him membership, the world still recognizes him as one of the top physicists of the 20th century.
